  1. I meet with her next Thursday! I am similarly hoping to get a date right after [emoji4]. I am very excited! What’s your pre-op regimen look like?
  2. It absolutely is! I used to run, and was very athletic. Now it’s painful to run, and not just on the knees! they don’t make good enough sports bras to handle the movement as I’m sure many women on here will agree to! My goal: run my old exercise route around the lake... about 4miles. I used to love it, and I don’t want to sacrifice the things I love ever again
  3. This is so amazing to hear! Pictures are great and all, but seeing how happy it’s made YOU it’s what makes it truly golden. Your change in stats is positive life altering!!
  4. Sticking cameras in ANY opening sounds horrendous... I sooooo hope they waive it for me [emoji37]
  5. Would be nice to have a surgery buddy! I hope my surgeon tells me next week
  6. Congrats on making the first step! I’m in pre-op stage and already I feel the change my decision has made. I have hope, I’m excited for the future, and for the first time I am making myself a priority. There is so much info on this site, including others who are in similar stat categories. Good luck on starting your process!
  7. Hi! I am also a Bostonian, though I am going through Mt. Auburn. I hope they can get you in soon! That’s terrible that it got canceled! At least most of the snow is gone and we BETTER not get anymore. I’m officially over winter!
  8. Pre-tests are performed before most surgeries usually to make sure your health is where it needs to be. I.E. make sure your not getting sick. They usually do blood work or other sorts of tests to rule out any last minute illnesses. You should be fine!
  9. Did they give you Zofran for nausea post surgery? Because that stuff constipates more than ANYTHING. Hate that stuff. But I suppose its better than puking? Maybe? But grats on being off liquid
  10. This. I do this too. I wish you the BEST of luck. I know with my weight, it fluctuates SO heavily because my body looooves to retain water, so maybe it's that? I know my weight can change up to 6lbs from morning to afternoon because of water weight (it's super effing annoying!)
  11. You look fantastic... but I'll be honest and admit that I first noticed the hair and was super envious LOL. I wish I could grow my hair out! You are beautiful!
  12. Oh! Well WELCOME! You've had such amazing success, I wouldn't say no to any advice you may wish to share!
  13. That's fantastic! I am still pre-op and waiting (my least favorite thing) but I meet with the surgeon next week and hopefully I'll get my date. Here's to hoping you continue doing great! Looking forward to witnessing you transformation. Annnd to hoping your "no pain" is contagious via forum post? Can that be a thing? Please? LOL
  14. Damn! You are on fire! Your account said Pre-Op so I assumed you were beginning too!
  15. Same to you! How far along in the process are you?
  16. Seems that no two places are the same. A few others I've talked to all mentioned having to do the barium swallow, but that doesn't appear to be a requirement at Mount Auburn. If I do need it, hopefully I can get it asap so it won't push the surgery back too far. But its better to be safe than sorry!
  17. Congratulations!!!! I am very happy for you, and wish you a quick and speedy recovery!
  18. Fantastic job! The other posters are 100% right, you look like a completely different person. Amazing visual results aside, how do you feel?
  19. A bemused smirk is still better than nothing! I hate how I can lose like 25lbs, and my clothes won't fit any differently.
  20. See you just gave me something to think about! I've heard about the keto diet, but I don't think I really understand it. How do you keep your carbs so low? I try too, but am still doing like 100-150 carbs a day. I feel like I am missing something in the calculations?
  21. Congratulations! I wish you a QUICK and Speedy recovery, and may the stalls be few and far in between
  22. Gah how do you deal with the wait?!? I hate waiting. Patience is my least favorite virtue, and I've neglected it quite wonderfully. But 1 week away is fantastic! What are you doing to distract yourself? Are you on a liquid preop? I know the pain of the gas too having had my gallbladder out, that stuff is brutal!
