  1. I’m so sorry to hear about all the outside factors effecting you and your health. Have you tried bone broth? It’s like broth but has protein as well, so it’s a win-win. At our Whole Foods, Pacific makes small containers of chicken and turkey bone broth that have either lemongrass, ginger or sage. Ginger water can help with nausea too. Just grate or cut up pieces of fresh ginger and add to your water, you can let it sit overnight for a more intense flavor. I hope you start feeling better soon!
  2. Only you know what you are feeling and if you are unable to drive, that’s a problem. My suggestion would be to call your surgeon first and let them know what is going on, they might just call in a prescription or they might want to meet you at the ER. Most docs want a heads up if there’s an issue. I hope you get relief soon.
  3. Yeah, odds are you have a UTI. I’m so sorry. Hopefully, you can get some antibiotics ASAP and will feel better in 24-48 hours. Tylenol might help with some of the discomfort until you get seen, but please call your doc and follow their rules for taking medications.
  4. Hi! I’m new here too. I just had surgery Wednesday. Good for you for joining early. I’m not the most knowledgeable with the hands on (yet), but I’m also a RN. I wish you all the best as you wait for surgery!
  5. I had my surgery on Wednesday and totally overpacked! ? I used chapstick, Biotene mouthspray, pillow and clothes to go home. Mine was just an overnight stay, so I stayed in their gown and used a 2nd as a robe...mine felt too heavy. They will give you slipper socks and I didn’t want to bring home anything from the hospital—germs or clothes. Good luck!
  6. Sounds like a UTI. Call your surgeon but your surgeon might want this to be cared for by your primary health caregiver.
  7. My kids bought me that stuffed stomach too! I love him! ❤️
