  5. Have to quit for my surgery. Was tested via urine for nicotine for 3 consecutive months. Smoking again since March. I quit a week ago today. What do you think my chances are of passing a nicotine test? Also, do you think they’ll even test me again?? Surgery is scheduled for June 8th and my pre-op appointment is Tuesday the 29th.
  6. Had three monthly urine test for nicotine in January, February, and March. All clean. Do you think they’ll still test me when I have my pre-op labs drawn a week before surgery? I just find it hard to believe that they would make you prove for 3 months in a row and then test again later on. Opinions??
  7. Smoked for 2 months regularly. Have my last appointment with the surgeon coming up on May 29th with some lab work that I know I’ll be having but unsure what it’ll be. I’m guessing there’s going to be a nicotine/continine test. Quit cold turkey on the 20th. What do you guys think are my chances of it being negative?? I’m starting to freak out a lot and I don’t want to screw up this opportunity that’s such a big deal. Any opinions??
  8. Insurance is through UPMC.
  9. All worked up, did my 6 months of pcp appointments, egd, ultrasound, sleep study, labs, etc. Got approved though my insurance and my date has been scheduled for June 8th!!! So very excited/nervous at the same time. Do you think there could be anything, once approved by insurance and scheduled, that they would change their minds and not give me the surgery??? It’s just such a blessing and a wonderful tool and I’m so close after waiting so long that I’m afraid any little thing could go wrong. Any last little bit of advice/encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  10. Having Gastric Bypass on June 8th. Final pre-op appointment with the surgeon on May 29th. Having blood work done that day. Anybody done this? If so, what labs did they do?? I’m just curious and of course any little thing makes me nervous. Thanks!!!
