Chell9898 got a reaction from SouthrnGirl in October BypassSurgery was successful? Band to bypass revision & A hernia repair on Oct 16, 2018. stayed 2 nights at the hospital. Terrible shoulder pain since I been home. They say it's gas.. I'm walking & applying a heating pad on it, but the pain LAWD it hurts!!! I got a JP drain which is uncomfortable & painful but controlled by medication. I'm getting it removed Wednesday & I can't wait .. Overall, I'm doing good?

Approved for band to bypass revision on 9/26, I found out when I called Aetna on 9/28, pre-op appt schedule for 10/4.. my advocate told me to start my liver shrink diet Saturday (yesterday) which will put me at a 6 day advantage on this 2 week liver shrink when I go to my preop appt.. and a possible early October surgery date if available since I started the liver shrink diet already..I'm excited!!!!

Chell9898 got a reaction from paddyski in Waiting on Approval!!FINALLY!!! Info sent to Aetna for Approval on Sept. 22. Now the wait! Revision from Lap Band to Bypass. My lap band was placed in 2009, so I know I have scar tissue. I also have a large hernia. I pray and hope my surgeon perform both procedures at one time. I do no want to wake up and my surgeon tells me he only removed the band and I will have to reschedule for the bypass. That is my only fear, but I have a faith in him. He is an outstanding surgeon. Outside of that I am so excited
