  1. I too need a kick in the butt!!!!! My weakness is chocolate, munchies and drinking with meals!! I'd love to loose 10 lbs by Valentines!!! My surgery was 4/12/08, and I've lost around 40lbs. Slow, I know, I have been a bad bander the last few months. Time for a fresh start!!!! Katie †
  2. Well I did so good over Thanksgiving. I actually lost a pound that week. But man, all these goodies around right now are killing me. All the baking that my family and I are doing is so tempting!!!!! Anyone else having problems??
  3. that's exactly it. i want some sweet tea with my meal... not alot, but some. =o) thanks for letting me know that i'm not alone in that!!!!
  4. I was banded in April 2008. So far I've lost about 35-37lbs. Slow is what I was wanting, 'cause I don't want to have further surgery for loose skin. I have totally lost all motivation. I am tight enough that if I eat to fast or to much I feel it. But I'm drinking a little with some of my meals and I know that's against what we're suppose to do. I try to make good food choices. I also joined Curves, but life happened and I don't have a car right now so I don't go as often as I'd like. Guess I just needed to vent/confess...:cursing:

  6. I am much better today, THANKS!!! I continued throwing up for a while, and I knew when it was all out of my pouch. I've eaten just liquids and some lunch meat today; things I know will go through really easy. I figured that everything would be tight from the throwing up so I wanted stuff that would flow easy... Thanks for the advice, I was really nervous there for a while.
  7. I feel like a dork. It's like I just forgot that I'm banded!!! Won't do that again any time soon, that's for sure. Thanks for the quick reply... I may try the juice. =o)
  8. How do you know if you have something stuck in your band??????? I think I ate to fast tonight, chicken, and felt uncomfortable for about 45 minutes. Then I've been throwing up, small amounts, for the past hour and a half or so. I tried sipping some water, just to have it come back up a few minutes later. I feel like a dork and don't want to call my doc over something like this. HELP!
  9. I had surgery on April 16th. So far, I've lost about 17lbs. I'm eating much smaller portions, but hungry again after about 3-4 hours. I have a 10cc or 12cc (cannot remember which) band with 4cc in it; have had one post op fill. How soon after your first fill did you get your second?? I'm
  10. i too am on the orthrotricyclen (tri nessa). i took those uncrushed from day one. my doc said they were small enough that i didn't need to worry. good luck.
  11. I have the 11cc realize... i came home from hospital with 4cc, and got 1cc at my first fill... so i'm up to 5cc. it's not just for 400lb men, i'm female and not 400lbs. it's just one of the newest bands. :scared2:
  12. hello. when i was first banded i was on LORTAB every 6 hours and 6tsp of childrens motrin every 6 hours. i would alternate them. and now my doctor said i can take any liquid gels and so far they have done great. i had surgery on 4/16, so i'm almost 5 weeks post-op.
  13. Hello Y'all! I am experiencing the WORST middle back pain (around my bra line) I've ever had. Can anyone tell me if they've experienced this with the band? I read somewhere that it's b/c I'm too full, anyone out there heard or experienced this???
  14. this is such a icky subject, but i'm glad there is a place like this we can discuss it. sounds like i'm opposite of just about everyone that has posted here. i'm 4 weeks out of surgery and have 2-3 watery bm's a day and very mild gas. its really bad, kinda like someone said, don't know what you're going to get. it's to the point that i don't want to leave the house. does anyone know if we can take anti diarrhea meds with the band? i know that acid reducers are a BIG no no, but what about anti diarrhea????
  15. I am 3 weeks out... the band is 11cc and right now I have a 4cc fill. Should I be loosing faster than I am? I've only lost 10lbs since day of surgery and that was all in the first week post op. I'm still not on full foods either, I start on Monday. I'm eating things like fish, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, sandwiches, ect... Sorry, I'm just frustrated!!!
