  4. Team PACU for the win! I slept off and on for a few hours (did you know NBC was reairing the men's free skate at 4 AM?). I've started my drinking test, so I'm out of the hospital bed and in the recliner. This is no time for pride or propriety: I am gassy. That's the majority of the issue right now - gas. Pain isn't awful, actually fairly manageable, but good heavens I have to fart.
  5. Greetings from the PACU, where I've been for the last ten hours. Apparently I may be here overnight; I'm not sure why, but I haven't been transferred to a room. As long as I'm lying down or standing up, everything is copacetic. I've been walking around the unit a few times, crunched some ice chips... doing okay.
  6. This morning I had my pre-admission testing. Not long after I got to my desk, the hospital billing office called and let me know that insurance had approved me. (the I called the insurance company and confirmed it.) Holy crap. This is *actually happening* - one week from tomorrow (2/18).
  7. No, not a big vacation - but my parents have offered to take me to their home for my recuperation period. That's about a five-hour drive. Good idea/bad idea?
  8. I'm scheduled for February 16!
