  12. Not to get into a pissing contest here, but I have never heard 2-3 weeks after surgery for more than light excercise. I was never told to do moderate cardio until after 9 weeks. So here to each his own. I have not been dehydrated. I have been drinking over 64 ounces and some days up to 100 ounces of water and fluids. So that kinds sinks the dehydated theory here. My doctor told me to look out for calorie deficit... and after loosing X amount of weight early on after surgery we no longer that that abundant reserve of fuel to power our excercise. Remember, everyone is different. There is not one all size fits all or all information is valid for all. IF that was the case life would be so much easier.
  13. Also you are not getting in enough calories for the excercise as well. I'm still getting in 800 or under and was light headed one time while at the gym so I cut back.
  14. I would hold off on the excercise if I were you. I was told not to excercise until after 9 weeks. I'm still not going every day due to stomach pain or gas or othr problems. I had a pain in the same area and my dr told me it was the muscle and everything trying to adjust after surgery. Whether or not it's true I have no idea and I also don't think the jolly rancher had anything to do with it. Call your dr and ask. I did... maybe you will get a different answer than I did.. hang in there..

  18. I think the doctors are highly optimistic and very blind to the pain patients go through after surgical procedures. I was knocked out for about two weeks. I worked from home but was still in pain. I would take your time and see if you feel better after a week or so. I'm still not feeling totally normal after 10 weeks.
  19. My doctor before surgery gave me a meal list. Did yours? If so I would follow it. in fact I had the same breakfast for 4 months before surgery.
  20. Get a lawyer and bring up the fact she always said she didn't want money from you because they were adopted. I would not do anything or sign anything until you see a lawyer. That is a good way to get screwed. Hold your ground.
  21. Stupid question. When can you switch insurance? I had to do this to get surgery and I went originally in 2007 for aetna and it was a pain. I switched and was approved within 6 months.
  22. Are you still suffering from it? I was prescribed B1 also after surgery and was not given any information as to why.
  23. I was sick for a while and in pain also after surgery, so you are not alone. I'm 10 weeks and still having problems with eating and have reverted back to soft foods when the discomfort/ pain is too much. I spoke to my doctor and she's telling me it's normal and that swelling takes a while in certain people, etc...

  26. Nothing stops the stomach noises. I have eaten a tons of tums, nexium, gas x etc. I have a friend who had this done two years ago and her stomach still makes these sounds. It appears to be part and parcel of the surgery.
  27. I'm 10 weeks and it keeps going and coming with the stalls. What I have noticed also is lack of going to the bathroom happens around the stall times. Once I take a laxative or Linzess which my doctor prescribed for me, after I use the bathroom, I lose the weight from the stall and keep going.. Until the next one!

  29. Thank goodness. I was a bit worried about this. I had no idea if it was normal, the sleepiness that is and there appears to be no doctors information on it.. Thanks for replying!
  30. I'm 10 week after surgery and having problems staying awake after eating dinner. I'm fine in the morning, and whatever I can eat for lunch mostly I'm still having protein drinks, but in the evening when I try to eat small bites of chicken, cheese etc I go to sleep. I'm NOT eating too much carbs under 10 to 20 a day and not high amounts of fat. Anyone else dealing with this? I also don't feel like eating most of the time. I'm running into having a bite or two of chicken or tuna and giving the rest to my dogs. I just can't eat the 2-4 ounces of it.
