  1. Now THIS post made my day. Laughing my big butt off!
  2. WOW~ luluc, I noticed your amazing weightloss and it's inspiring. How long did it take you to reach your goal and did your surpass it? Thanks!
  3. ok, I'm back on track....drinking shakes and softs only. The thought of my stitches coming out DID IT FOR ME! THANK YOU RESTLESS MONKEY ~ I owe you for the kick in the backside. We all need those every now and again!
  4. FINALLY! Some words I can relate to. I didn't cheat on the liquid diet before hand as I only had 5 days, but I'm only 9 days post op and took a bite of CHEESE TODAY. I could cry. I put a message up and asked for any october bander to join forces with as a support person, but no takers. I don't think this board is working out for me or maybe I should just go to the general forum as I've only been in the smashing pumpkin area.
  5. Hi, I was banded 10/6 on liquid and very little softs. I would love to be a part of a support group on here. Especially when I'm feeling I want to eat my limbs off instead of a liquid shake. I always work better with others, I feel like the lone ranger out here. I'm also getting a little discouraged since others have dropped significantly since surgery and I'm slowly plugging along. I need to shut my gob and move my hiney. Needless to say, if any of you like a pumpkin buddy, SIGN ME UP!
  6. Anne, I'll keep your DIL in my prayers. I have twins or should say two babes from a set of triplets. I miscarried the triplet in the beginning of my 2nd trimester. They came 12 wks early and although in was a very long haul they are here ~ walking and talking. They will turn 2 on Thanksgiving. Birth weight was 1.2 lbs and 1.14 lbs. Faith will carry you through. If you'd like to send me your DIL's name, I'll pray for her and your grandchild.
  7. Sorry I can't give you a quick answer, but your doctor's office should be able to tell you.
  8. I'm extremely private so I told my husband and of course the people on this board, but this is such a safe haven from judgement, etc.
  9. My husband has deployed 6 times and although it's never easy ~ the first time seems to be the toughest. If you can handle deployments, you'll certainly be able to handle "less" of you when he returns. How exciting!
  10. Do we have any Smashing Pumpkins affiliated with the military? I'm a Marine Corp wife. By the way.....how the heck do I add the sparklee or ticker to my threads? I think this liquid diet has affected my brain. :wink2: Thanks a bunch Smashing Pumpkins.
  11. I needed a cardiac clearance and needed to stay in the hospital post op a bit longer due to my breathing. Be thankful you have a great doctor that is being so thorough. Getting YOU healthy is most important right now (know that's disappointing), the surgery can come any time. Keep your chin up and have faith. It will all work out! :-)
