  1. I pretty much feel like a complete failure. I only lost 5 pounds in the last 3 months. The first 6 months is supposed to be the fast weight loss period...but I suck. Need to get my mind right and get back in order before I start gaining weight. I've had several procedures and surgery, but I feel like that is a lame excuse. SW: 255 CW: 200 No liquid prep diet really because I had surgery 2 weeks after meeting the doctor the 1st time.

Great job! Keep it up. I'm getting to lose a little slower because I'm afraid of lose skin. Do you have any issues with that? I didn't have a 6 month run before surgery. I decided to do it 3 weeks before surgery. Glad i did it!

I'm surprised that I can eat more that I ever expected. I'm definitely trying to learn how to live while feeling hungry without eating. I'm scared to death my stomach stretched and I'll gain everything back. I've lost 45 pounds and realize stress is my emotional eating trigger. Working on that.

    Dissolving Stitches!?

6 weeks after surgery. Most of these posts are old but i have the same thing. I keep cutting off more and more of the white dissolvable stitches. They are itchy and irritating. About a half inch will come out and i will cut it. I think the doctor put in 1 long stitch across the incision. The whole thing is red and bumpy and still bleeds. Don't really want to go to the doctor again, but it's driving me crazy. I remember my stitches after my tonsils were removed never dissolved either.

    I am a failure!!!

You are not a failure. Do you see your doctor (surgeon) regularly? I would get on a liquid, high protein diet for 4 weeks to get back on track and see the doctor. You can do it! You've been through worse!
  14. i'm BP II. I had a very difficult time the second and third weeks after surgery because I couldn't keep my medicine down and liquid Perkacet is a big trigger of mania for me. It was terrible, but at 3 weeks I could keep my meds down. I tried liquid Zoloft, but that was AWEFUL!!!!! I got to the brink of losing my mind and extremely agitated (that's how I respond to mania). I felt like I was in danger but then I could finally get my medicine to stay down. My advice to any BP patient - make sure you have a solid back-up plan for your meds until the swelling goes down!!
  15. I wish there was an update on your condition. sounds like you were having a very hard time! You are in my prayers.
  16. I guess I would answer your question by asking why you hadn't completed a weight loss plan in the past. How is your health? Can you afford not to do it? Personally, i feel like the question is not whether you deserve the surgery...instead, it's "do you want to live?" That's what the surgery is about, in my opinion. You are very young and may be able to turn it around. And if you can, that's great! Did deep, work the program and eventually the answer will be clear. Good luck!
  17. Thank you for your post. Im going to try tomorrow! I dont know why I'm hungry because i wasn't before surgery. Also 8 days out.
