I had the lap band surgery in 2009. did great the first two years, losing over 70 lbs. Now I have gained about half of that back. Need a support group to encourage me and keep me on target!

That would be great. I know two others who would probably be interested. One is having the procedure done on Tuesday. The other one had it done in June, I think. I can meet anytime for the most part. Just let me know when and where.

Nashville - I was there just a few months ago. I live in Singapore now and am having the lap band surgery on Tuesday. Can hardly wait. On this side of it, I am definitely convinced that this is the TOOL I need to lose weight. Would be glad to keep in touch and let you know how it goes.

I'm having my surgery on Tuesday, too, in Singapore. Let's try and keep up with one another. Maybe we can be a good support system!

Melissa, I am having the surgery done at Alexandria Hospital. I don't have a surgery date yet. Hope to get back to Singapore the 18th of June. Maybe we can get together then. Lori

I have been going to the Alex Hospital Wellness Clinic for several months. They have been giving me nutritional training as well as some behavioral tips. They have really been great. I am confident that the surgeons connected to Alex will be capable. I have been researching the lap band surgery now for about 8 months. I believe I am ready to dive in!

Melissa, I was so excited to read your email. I am an American living in Singapore, too. Well, right now I'm out of the country but I will be back in mid JUne and hope to have lap band surgery done in July. Believe me, YOU couldn't be the fattest person in Singapore. That's me! Maybe we can encourage each other.

I am planning to have the surgery done in Singapore in July at Alexandra Hospital. They have done over 300 lap bands. I have been very impressed with the care there - fyi.

Just got your post. Sorry. I am hoping to have the surgery in July. I will have it done at Alexandra Hospital - cheaper than all the rest and very nice people. I believe Dr. Ravi may be one of my choices. I am out of the country right now but will return in mid June. I can tell you then. I left all of that info there.

Susan, thanks for responding to my note. I just moved to Singapore last September. I am planning on having the lap band surgery in early July. There is a great hospital here that does it. Just need a support group to help me through.
