I have cigna insurance and once i completed all the reqirements i was approved within days. I was quite shocked at how speedy it was. I got banded September 13, 2006 and to date have lost 144 lbs.

Has anyone else had a fill recently at scor in Richardson texas, only to be informed that they no longer do the fills under fluoroscopy? I was not to thrilled at being blindly poked, and having to request being numbed first. Banded 9-13-7 As of today lost 144 lbs

Wow, i must say that is very odd! I have a metal rod and 11 screws in my arm and am a frequent flyer. I have never set off a metal detector. Banded 9-13-06 as of today lost 144 lbs

Margo, My band quest started with my first initial visit in January of 2006. My insurance company had requirements (many) that had to be met before they would consider paying for my surgery. Once i met all the requirements my surgery was approved in TWO DAYS!! The down side was it took from 1/07 till my surgery day of 9-13-06. I had my 3rd fill yesterday and was down a WHOPPING 66 lbs !! The 66 lb loss includes my two week pre-surgery diet. Hang in there it is totally worth the wait.
