  1. Just curious what people’s favorites are? I’m currently drinking an ice cold premiere protein (strawberries and cream), and am surprised how tasty it is. I assume there are other good ones out there to try, as well as ones I shouldn’t waste money on. Let’s hear it...
  2. So, I may have spoke too soon. Last night was rough. I feel really bloated today (and had reflux all night). I assume I have a lot of gas, but can’t get anything moving. Kind of frustrating. On top of that, I have been straight clear liquids (basically just water) because days 1-4 postop were miserable. So, I was burning fat supplies (exclusively) for energy, which really contributed to the nausea I think. I feel like this also affected my sleep. Not only did I not sleep (nap) yesterday at all, but I wasn’t really tired last night either. I was up until after 3, then tossed and turned and got out of bed at 6. I ate some yogurt this morning, and that felt satisfying. I’m heading to the store to grab some different protein shakes to try (and get some more gas Ex). Really hope this gas dissipates soon.
  3. It has been a rough 4 days. I went through buyers remorse big time last night. Had extreme nausea and felt like I couldn’t swallow anything. Had clearly lost a lot of water as I was down 12 lbs in 24 hours. Every time I tried to drink I felt nauseous, probably drank 6 oz of water the whole day. Called my Dr and he wrote me an Rx for anti nausea meds. As I sat up most of the night, I did what no one should do, and searched the internet for my symptoms. I narrowed it down to intestinal blockage or simple constipation. Well, constipation is the most likely, so I sent my wife to the store for enemas, MoM, and suppositories. She gave me an enema this morning (marriage level Expert Achieved!). A few hours later and things started feeling better. This is the most normal day I’ve had since the surgery. I do have some... pressure in my chest/throat area. I wonder if this has to do with the fact that I had both a hiatal hernia and rny done. Anyone else have this done together? Anyway, I just wanted to post with the small victory. I feel like I can see a light at the end of the tunnel... looks like a long tunnel, but at least it doesn’t look as dark as it did last night.
