  1. I'm 10 days post op and still on liquid only. I drink 3 protein shakes a day, 11oz each. It goes down very easily...no discomfort at all. It only takes me about 5 minutes and then I can still drink water in between shakes. I'm nervous that my doctor didn't take enough stomach haha. Some of you are struggling to get 4oz in 30 minutes and I'm over here feeling like I'm still at pre-op capacity. I'm hoping when I get to solid foods I'll feel that full feeling after a few bites like a lot of you mention.
  2. I hope this isn't insensitive, and I'm aware it's a constant question on these boards, but how well did your skin bounce back? We're about the same starting weight and I'm unreasonably obsessed about what my body will look like. Congratulations on your success! You look amazing and it's even better that you FEEL amazing. 3. Haha totally opposite!! From the moment I woke up in recovery and for 48 solid hours all I did was dry heave/vomit from the overwhelming nausea. They gave me every antiemetic possible and nothing took the edge off. Thankfully, I haven't had any nausea or issues since then, but consider yourself lucky! I was positive that my new little pouch was going to burst open from the force of throwing up. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Hi I'm Michelle! 35 from Connecticut. I was sleeved on 11/30. I love reading about all these different weight loss journeys! Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. That's an incredible loss already! Yay!! I was sleeved on 11/30 but I'm only down 10lbs so far. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I totally agree! I was so focused on having surgery ASAP that I didn't give any thought to how hard it would be to get through the holidays. It also doesn't help that I've never been a fan of sweet things and the protein shakes are all sweet flavors. I wish someone would make some savory flavored protein shakes haha Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. 9 days post op and I feel like I'm going crazy! The liquid diet is brutal. While I don't feel "hungry", I DEFINITELY don't feel full. The smell of food is intoxicating and has me reeling. Physically I feel great. No pain, and I'm doing very light exercise/staying as active as possible. But damn...the mental game is rough! I'm looking forward to my 3 week check up on the 20th when I assume I'll be advanced to puree. Staying focused and thinking skinny, healthy thoughts! [emoji1]
  8. I'm only one week post op and feeling the same! I don't have genuine hunger but the desire to eat is so overwhelming. I still have to be a wife and mom and cooking/being around the smell of food is brutal. It's all a mental game. I just try to focus on the fact that the benefits of this "new" life will far exceed the deliciousness of food. How much longer until you are on regular food? Stay strong! Anyone who says surgery is the easy way out has NO idea how crazy this ride is! Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Omg what is it with husband's and pizza?? Mine did the same! Haha. How are you feeling? Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Any late November sleevers? I was discharged yesterday afternoon. Trying to get used to this new life!
