NYCKris- It's great to hear all went smoothly. I am having my surgery with Dr. Fielding on 5/22. I do have a ? Did he visit you before and after the surgery? I had a few surgeries in NYU in the past year and some surgeon do and others don't. I was just wondering if he sees his patients. Thanks, Helen

Well, the days are flying by. I start my liquid preop diet tomorrow. Surgery in 2 Weeks...can't wait. Good Luck to everyone going before me.

Hi there, I am getting ready for 5/22. I start the liquid phase tomorrow. i was fine until last night. I started with not being able to sleep and so on. It is normal. I had three surgeries in the past year. I did fine with all of them and we will all do fine with this one. I find keeping myself busy all day works ...as well as when I get tired in the evening just fall asleep and ivo the shows. If I do not do that that is when I am up all night. Do not woory everything will be fine. Best of luck to all of us!!! Helen

I got my approval today. I am scheduled for May 22. My paperwork was sent on Thursday and it was approved on Friday!!!!

Hi there...You will get your bld work done at the Pre-op Testing date. You will also probably do a chest X-ray (if you had one done in the past 6 months bring them the film) Good Luck

Hello to everyone. I got my date. It's May 22nd. I will start my 2 wk liquid diet on May 8th. I was nervous about getting the green light from the surgeon because of other medical conditions(I have systemic Sarcoidosis and was just through treatment for Thyroid Cancer which spread to Lymph Nodes). But all went well and I got my date. So excited!!!!:huh2: Wish every1 good luck!!!

I met with Dr. Fielding. All is set for May 22nd. He was nice and explained everything. I mentioned all my medical concerns and he was ok with everything. I can not wait till then:thumbup:
