  1. NO JUDGEMENT! So I was really naughty NYE and today - New Years Day here in Oz. I ate heaps, and drank wine. I even ate mini chocolates. I really fell off the wagon and only about a month post-op. Has anyone else had bad days like this? Did it stop you from reaching your goals? I am going to a cycle class tomorrow because I feel ready, but today I just want to treat myself. Is the occasional slip up really going to ruin everything? Thanks in advance xx Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  2. Wondering how many months post-op you were when people that didn’t know about the surgery really started to notice your weight loss? If you remember how much weight you had lost at that time, that would be interesting too. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  3. That sounds yumm everyone. How many weeks post op are you because I can’t wait to be wasting some prawns Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  4. Just wondering what everybody ate or is eating on Christmas to compare notes - especially those that are around 3 weeks post-op like me. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  5. Thank you all - my blood pressure was really low. Taking vitamins with food definitely does help - thank you Kristen. I think I was pushing myself by walking way too much, to the point I became nauseous and couldn’t even sip water. I need to just let my body do its thing and be patient. I do wish the weight loss would happen faster, but at least it’s coming off slowly. I have to trust that I will get there, but I still don’t understand how I could be losing so little when I’ve lost more on other diets pre-op, it makes me feel like the surgery wasn’t worth it. Hopefully the surgery will at least help me keep it off, unlike the diets. Also, someone said you can put on weight from all the fluids in hospital and everything, so I don’t know. I’ll keep at it, but wish I could eat with the kids on Christmas, I usually love cooking a big traditional family feast... really down about it. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  6. I’m trying really hard, but I was so nauseous today, I couldn’t. I did end up buying electrolyte sugar free water and it did help a bit. Thanks Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  7. Hi all, So I’ve just started my multivitamins, and I’ve been so dizzy and nauseous since. Is this normal? They’re so big to swallow and I was hoping I’d get an energy boost from them, but instead for the first time I’m feeling dizzy and sick. Is this the multivitamin or do you think it’s something else? Thanks! Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  8. These comments are so helpful for me too on the other end of it having lost little - just 8.8lbs 2 weeks post op. I haven’t weighed myself again since and 3 weeks on Saturday. I’ve been eating little, and also had diarrhoea which is more just liquid in, liquid out I heard. I had my period also. So maybe it was all the fluids and my body trying to balance everything it’s been through out? Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  9. Could it be the fluid from hospital? I’ve only been having broth and I walk. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  10. Has anyone else had minimal weight loss ? I was sleeved on 2 December and I’ve only lost 8.8lbs really down about it. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  11. Thank you all so much for all your kind words and encouragement. I feel like it can’t be right, because I can see from my clothes I’ve lost weight. I have just upped my walking, I’m not allowed to start anything too intense yet. I’ll cut out my coffee and teas as the milk is probably not good, and go lighter on the creamy milk. I’m ready to get this. I need to watch everything I do still I guess, I just assumed it would fall off because I’m eating so little - and I’ll start my protein replacements. I feel like protein should only start when I’m working out at the gym though? Thanks so much for your help xx Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  12. Thank you too Kim, My surgeon said the same, it’s because I don’t have as much to lose... still, I’m very jealous of your 14lbs right now... that’s double my loss [emoji17] Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  13. Thank you, means so much to hear that. I just don’t even want to eat right now, I feel like a failure. I mean in hospital I didn’t even have anything to eat for 2 days. I’ve only just moved onto cream soups and can’t even eat a tin in a whole day. Before was broths. I feel like it can’t be right. I’ll just give it time. Hopefully once I get into the gym more will start coming off. Thank you again. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  14. Hi, I just had a 2 week post-op appointment, and I’ve only lost 4kgs. My surgeon assured me that it’s fine and I’m on track, but it feels so small. Also, the 4kgs is from our first appointment prior to the two week pre-op diet. I’ve lost more in a few days on the HCG diet and this is the first time I’m now regretting the surgery. I’m eating less than on the HCG diet, and I have been walking. I don’t know why it’s taking so long. I’ve also been on antibiotics because I developed a small infection. 4kgs in pounds is about 8.8lbs. Any advice? Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  15. That’s absolutely right! I’m only 9 days out and this was the best decision of my life!!! It’s a great experience. You’ve got this and you won’t believe how fast things will change for the better. Just ignore anyone that isn’t supportive or kind on here because there are plenty of really lovely people on here also that are very supportive and nice. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  16. [emoji849] here we go again... the ones that are rude and disparaging yes, they should back off because they don’t know it all. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  17. Good work! That’s amazing you’re tolerating so much already. I’m on broths and creamy soups... I could have a protein shake too. I’m taking It so slow now but getting very bored sometimes. I’m not very hungry though. Keep going girl! I took photos at my sons grad yesterday and I can see my shape is changing already, but my tummy still pokes out lol. Can’t wait for the weight to be gone. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  18. How many weeks are you post-op? Sorry, I’m using the app and can’t see. Are you exercising too? I’m only walking and about 10 days post-op. My surgeon doesn’t want me back in the gym until after I see him in a few weeks. I’m slapping skin firming cream on already though. I’m only making about 350cals at this point. I should start counting. I’m enjoying my morning tea which probably adds cals I don’t need, should replace it with a protein shake. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  19. Yes, that’s absolutely right! I wish this other lady saw this post earlier in the week that had the same issue only eating 500cals but left the forum after being berated and accused of lying... the body goes into starvation mode and needs food to boost the metabolism - this is basic fitness knowledge and I’m surprised so many don’t realise that your body needs fuel to build muscle and burn fat or you will just lose muscle and end up a skinny fat person. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  20. Good for you Ash for standing up to her - that was the main point for me standing up to her on here. I mean yes, I’ve only been on here a few weeks and haven’t seen all of her posts, but I’ve seen enough the last few weeks to recognise how rude and offensive she is towards people and she intentionally takes things they say out of context which is passive aggressive and gaslighting. She is scaring people pre-op and making them second guess themselves. They should all stick to a 4yr post-op group and let the newbie’s meet and chat. They’re not supportive or helpful. We need more people like you that will stand up to bullies like that. Nothing like fat people that get skinny to become bullies... smh I tried to gently point it out to her at first, thinking maybe she didn’t realise, but now I’m confident she absolutely does realise and they just want to be argumentative and rude to people. So no point continuing to discuss it - I just hope there are more people like you that will stand up to her and all her goons in the future. Bless up xxx Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  21. I think she has on this thread because it completely got off topic to become disparaging and rude towards me. It was completely outside anything to do with the sleeve and became personal - against the rules.
  22. I would love to but don’t know how. Can I do it on the app?
  23. Thank you Ash, that means so much! It really is that group that are spoiling the forum for everyone. So many people are feeling pushed off and afraid to share their stories and questions because of them. It’s a shame as I’m receiving lots of private messages from people that are supportive, but it was about time someone told them. There’s nothing wrong with people disagreeing but the way they do it is disparaging and disrespectful, and you can clearly see there’s no support or consideration. Notice how not a single one responded to my comment that my friend had been diagnosed with cancer, they just continues to act cruely and make fun of me - but then want to call it ‘tough love’... how immature and innate. Do they really think everyone’s that stupid?
  24. So well said by the forum admin. All of you berating and trying to call it ‘tough love’ need to look at yourselves and how rude, offensive and argumentative your comments are. It’s just disgraceful behaviour - there’s nothing helpful or supportive about it. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
  25. Bahahahahaha! When did I ever say I wanted any of your belligerent help or suggest you were helping??? Have you still not understood that yet? Nope, carry on, can’t understand why anyone would leave the forum??? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️ Thread/ Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs
