  1. Hello...I had Dr. White for my lap band surgeon. Dr. White and his staff are excellent and the care provided was fantastic!! I was banded on 4-30. I just had my second fill Tuesday. He does all of the band fills under fluoroscopy and he is the one who does them, no one else. I would highly recommend him to anyone. From start to finish I had absolutly no problems.
  2. Hello to all. Today I had my 1st fill. The doctor gave me 5cc's in my realize band. Does anyone who has the realize band know how many cc's it holds? Thanks for the input.
  3. So I figured that I would feel full alot faster after surgery. Wrong! I am going to have my 1st fill on 05/27. My appetite is just as it was before surgery with the exception that I leave about 5 more bites on my plate than before. Isn't this horrible? I believe that I am supposed to be eating refried beans, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, and pudding at this stage. The issue at hand is that I can eat a double cheeseburger and fries from Wendys. I sure hope the 1st fill assists me enough to feel extremely full after 1/2 of a cup of food like they said it would before surgery instead of what I am able to eat now. Now I don't eat like this all of the time, but the idea is that I can. If anyone else out there is like me, when the plate is put in front of you you're going to eat until you feel full. Not Just think you are full, but FULL. Surely $17,500.00 can do better than this.
  4. My surgeons office gave me two as well. One to use on my surgical area the night before when I shower and the other to use the morning of surgery on the surgical area when I shower. They told me to take a shower the night before and the morning of surgery. Thats why they gave me two.
  5. I am currently on Day 1 of my 10 day Pre Op diet. On my sheet of things that I can eat on my diet 10 days before and two weeks after, it says Reduced Fat Cream Soups Strained and Thinned. My question is, Do I have to strain them on the 10 days before or is that just for the 1st two weeks after?? Any input would be helpful. Thanks
  6. As I get ready to begin my journey with the band, I am trying to figure out what people are using to puree food when they get to that stage. There are so many different blenders and food processors out there I would appreciate some input as to what works the best. Thanks
  7. Hello All, I am new here as of today. My name is Jennifer and I was recently approved on 03/27 for the lap band surgery. I meet with my surgeon for the 1st time on 04/09. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. It will be a long road but I'm ready. I look forward to meeting people who are on this journey already.
