  1. I will start my mushies on Saturday. I am really tired of the liquids. My doctor allows us to have soft foods such as meatloaf, meat balls, soft green veggies on the next phase/mushies...Is that what you all are allowed. I certainly don't want to over do it. Will start exercising next week. Gang hand in there. We are doing this together!!!!!!!!!!! Roz
  2. I had my band on 3-28-08 and was back at work in 5 days. If you have a job that requires a lot of lifting etc then you may have to go on lite duty. Roz
  3. I found that milk of mag helped my gas pain and moving around at least ever 3-4 hours. Roz Banded 4-28-08
  4. Congratulation on your date!! I just had my banding 4 days ago and already feel better. I am out the gate running because if I don't I will never get started with the exercise portion. I am a Nurse Practitioner by profession and I too went through the last meal symdrome. But I also understood the importance of making sure that my liver didn't need to be fatty and get in the way during surgery..so that fact along helped me maintain. FYI.. clear the house of anything tempting and buy whatever you need so that you will be without excuse!!! Roz
  5. Hi Ginny: I am so proud for you! You are where I am trying to go. I just had my banding 4 days ago and am on the liquid and blended stuff. I too am growing tired of this, but it is going to be well worth it!!! I won't have my first fill until May, so I have a long way to go. Be encouraged and keep up the good work. Roz
  6. Hi everyone: I am a new kid on the block. I just had my banding perfomed 4 days ago and am back at work. I am a Nurse Practitioner and was just plain ol tired of trying to tell my patients to live a better life, while I continue to kill myself slowly with overeating and obesity. Like Oprah, if there would have been a pill I could have bought, I would have done it long ago. I am so thankful for this procedure, and to all of you who are still trying to decide, DO IT!!!! By any means necessary!!!! I look forward to talking with you all on this wonderful supportive website. Roslyn:rolleyes2:
  7. Hi everyone: I am new to this site as well. I am 4 days post-op from my gastric banding and am very excited about my future. I realize that this is a journey and only we truly understand the struggle we had to go through to get to this point. I must say, I have already grown tired of the post-op broth and liquids. Any suggestions about how to spice things up a little? I am glad to be a part of this community! Thanks Roslyn in Ar.
