  1. Breakfast: 1 premix or powder protein shake. (Must have less than 2g of sugar per serving) muscle milk light is one I like, I think you can find it where you are. Snack: 1/2 protein shake Lunch: full protein shake and 2cups vegetables (cooked or raw) Snack: 1/2 protein shake Dinner: full protein shake and 2cups vegetables After dinner snack: can be 1/2 or full protein shake. I have to also consume 64oz of liquids: water, tea, coffee, soup broth,sobe light, crystal light flavor in water, vitamin 0 water. And you cannot cook vegetables in oil, only with cooking spray and any seasoning. Or I cook with broth a lot to make different vegetable soup. It’s helped a lot, but it isn’t easy. Good luck to you.

    How do I create profile

    Hey Aquamar61 Welcome! I am new also. I was having the same trouble. I received a very informative welcome email from the founder, Alex after I signed up for the app. His email contains a bunch of helpful links. Also, I found that if you log into the main website from a computer there are more options open to you. I was able to build my profile from the full website today. www.bariatricpal.com Cheers!

    I caved damn it....

    I heard a really good saying taking my pre surgery nutrition class. "Even if you slip up once in the day, you have 5 more eating chances to make the right decision in the same day." Don't give up on yourself for one slip. Keep going and eat right the rest of the day, it will make you feel better. Thank you for sharing your experience and good luck.
  5. Good Morning Everyone!

    I am fairly new here, just a few days on the app and website. I am 16 days pre-op and on the liquid diet currently. I chose to start liquids 4 weeks out to ensure I hit the pre-op goal from my doctor. I'm 10 days into the liquids and I've already shed 13lbs. The liquid diet has not been easy and really brought forward the realization of how addicted to food I was. Smells of real food still make me hungry, but I try to avoid them at all costs and keep myself full with protein shake and veggies. I can't wait until my VSG procedure. Being on this app and reading all of your stories and experiences has really helped me and I want you all to know how much I appreciate you.

  6. I hear you! Day 12 here. I started the liquid 4 weeks in advance because I have a higher BMI and I was afraid to not lose my Pre-op weight on time. Anyway, I’ve gotten so tired of eating veggies and I all but had an emotional breakdown two days ago when I couldn’t eat with my family. Smells still make me want food, but I hear there is a time when you get past the wanting food. Eating is such a hard habit to break. Stay strong! I’m right here with you!
