Rebuckling Expectations?
All buckled up and doing well. Back to losing instead of gaining. Lost 8 of the 30 pounds I regained. VERY HAPPY to have this tool back.

Rebuckling Expectations?
Dr. says they were unrelated, but happened within 5 days of each other, so who knows?

Rebuckling Expectations?
I had a slip then a bowel obstruction last year, so dr unbuckled my band to allow the swelling to go down. I'm scheduled to have it rebuckled on the 15th. What can I expect?

Ex husband
I ran into my ex-husand and his wife today at the mall for the firsti time since my surgery. The look on his face was priceless!! His wife, who incidently was his girlfriend during our marriage, wouldn.t even look at me. Although I did this for myself and my health, it made everything even sweeter.:scared2:

bowel movement?
It took me a good 6 months to have BM every day. You are so cleaned out prior to surgery, that you don't have that fullness you are so used to by the way we used to eat. Your body doesn't know how to react. Give it time. It will get back to normal eventually

How often are you supposed to get fills?
I was banded Nov 2008. I just got my second fill. the first was about a month out. I asked for this one because my weight loss was ony 1/2 pound in the last 6 months and I've been humgry lately. Sounds like you're doing well with your loss and the exercise is really the key to fast results.

Very Discouraged
Eating a cup of food and still being hungry sounds like you need more restriction. Also, are you drinking liquids within an hour of your meals? That will flush the food through faster and create hunger sooner. Exercise daily for at leasy 30 minutes is the key, though. You can break it up into 3 10 minute sessions. Good luck and don't give up!

Youngstown area St Es and St Joes
Go to the Weight Loss Center at St Elizabeth's and Dr. Woodruff. He's great. I had my band put on in Novemeber and have lost 80 pounds. they work hard with you to help you succeed. good luck!

Frist fill Scheduled
He didn't do any scope. He just wanted tomake sure I could drink water. It helped him make sure it wasn't too tight. He does it while the needle's in so he doesn't have to reprick if it's too tight.

Frist fill Scheduled
After. They don't need you to do anything before.

6 Month Dr. supervised diet requirement
No, you don't have to lose. In fact, if you lose, they can deny your surgery because you were successful. Try not to gain, but don't woryy about the numbers. I actually gained 5 pounds during my diet. It just shows them that you cannot lose even when supervised. Ask your nutritionist about the time frame. Shey're experienced in what insurance companies will accept. Good luck!

Frist fill Scheduled
Nothing to it. A small needle prick. You have to drink water as dr is filling with the needle hanging out of the port. don't look if you are afraid of needles. they'll have you do liquids, mushy, soft for about 2 days each, then back to were you were. Good luck!

I need help getting back on track
I've been doing great until about 2 months a go. 70 pounds gone since Nov 2008. Can't complain about that. Now I keep eating things I know are high in calories and can't seem to get my mind set changed to stop myself. Nothing going on. busy as ever, so I'm not thinking it's mood or hormones. I think I've hit the mind set that I'm just tired of "dieting" that's always what got me in trouble before the band and sent me back up. I haven't gained any weight back, but I'm not losing either. any words of wisdom?
