  1. Thank you so much! This helped a lot especially coming from a bariatric Veteran to a bariatric virgin here haha! I will keep fighting that head hunger with all I got!
  2. when I was 5 days out I wanted nothing to do with food or protein just plain water which sucked because since I was not getting any protein in i felt so crappy but gradually i started getting my hunger back. I am 3 weeks out tomorrow and like you said i feel way hungrier than when on liquids. I do believe though that once we move on from stages and have more options for meals with more protein we will feel the restriction i hope so at least! lol
  3. I am fighting the head hunger sooooo bad! I think we all struggle with this.
  4. I am not on acid reflux meds but i will consult with my doctor about this. I was actually thinking that as well maybe when i move on from soft foods when i start eating chicken and have more options of protein i will feel full.
  5. did you have surgery oct 25th? if so me too! my issue has been getting those protein shakes in, i cannot stand the taste of them just looking at them makes me gag. Before surgery i had no issues at all drinking them but now they are the most disgusting thing to me. I am drinking protein water instead recommended by my doctor (Bipro) which somewhat sits better with me.
  6. same with me, i always weigh more in the afternoon. i try to weigh myself in the morning instead that way is somewhat more accurate.
  7. I was also thinking that. I will try to get in more protein to see if it helps! Thanks.
  8. I will be 3 weeks Post Op Wednesday and I literally cannot stop eating (nothing unhealthy of course) I am only eating what is on my list and next week I will be already on an unrestricted diet. I am concerned with the amount of food I am able to eat and I do not feel restricted at all. I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and a snack but I always find myself so hungry a few hrs sometimes even minutes after every meal and find myself snacking on string cheese mostly. I lost 17 pounds the first two weeks but I’ve been stuck at a stall the past week which I’m not too concerned about I am more concerned with the amount that I am eating with no restriction. The stage I am in right now consists of fish, tuna, yogurt, eggs, string cheese, beans, lentil or split pea soup and soft cooked vegetables. I am not sure if I should just ignore my hunger or eat. Has anyone else experienced this in the early stages?? I just feel like I’m doing something wrong !
  9. Thank you! Your surgery will be here in the blink of an eye and you will do just fine!
  10. Thank you! I am feeling pretty good right now. At first I struggled a bit I was so tired but I couldn’t sleep and it was frustrating because I felt restless but I am doing so much better now [emoji3]. Good luck with your surgery you will do just fine trust me I was nervous for no reason everything happens so fast.
  11. Thank you! That’s exactly what I did... even though I had a lot of issues with the anesthesia I still sucked it up and got my butt walking as soon as I got out of recovery helped so much with the gas pain.
  12. My surgery is in about 9 hrs! I am so nauseous and light headed I am not sure if it’s that I am nervous or just hungry from being on liquids lol. I wasn’t not one bit nervous until today. I can’t sleep! Ahhh! But at the same time I am excited to begin this new journey [emoji3]. Anyone else having surgery 10/25?
  13. I am in eastern time so my surgery is in about 9 hrs! I am so nervous I am nauseous! Good luck to you!
  14. Thank you! This was helpful as I almost didn’t pack headphones! I’m packing my bag now, I am 9 hours away from having surgery ahh!!. I hope you’re doing well and have a speedy recovery!
  15. My surgery is also this Wednesday! Good luck to you! I take thyroid medicine and I was told to take my thyroid pill the morning of surgery with no more than a sip of water. I would call your doctor and find out!
