OMG, I am having the same issue. I have insurance with UHC Oxford plan. I gained 7 pounds the first 3 months of my 6 month pre-op weight loss program, but on my last visit I was 5 pounds lighter. I'm praying I don't get denied because of the weight gain. My surgery date is 12/26.

I finally have my surgery date DECEMBER 26, 2017. Excited and nervous.

Hello. Was anyone denied by Oxford because they didn’t lose any weight during the 6 month pre-op or for any other reason?

So I'm finally done with all of my pre-op requirements. Yay!!!!! Now, I'm just waiting for the results from my psych eval so that all of my paperwork can be submitted to insurance for approval, then I get the call with surgery dates. Consult appointment: 6/11/2017 First Nutrition appointment: 6/11/2017 First PCP appointment for 6 month weight loss program: 6/28/2017 Endoscopy Appointment: 10/27/2017 Psych eval: 11/8/2017 Insurance: Oxford Freedom Plan

I’m scheduled to have the endoscopy procedure done next Friday [emoji51]. I’m very nervous about getting insurance approval as well, but from what my patient coordinator has told me there shouldn’t be any problems as long as I complete all of my requirements and don’t gain weight. Who is your insurance provider?

Congrats, so exciting. I’m still in the process of completing my requirements. October 27th is my endoscopy appointment, October 31st I’m scheduled for the psych exam and November 15th is my last physician supervised weight loss program appointment.
