  1. 7 days post op nearly 22lbs down over 3 weeks including pre op diet. Had the wtf thoughts as entered anthestist room but no regrets yet. Looking forward to the future. Just hope I don't drop through the jean sizes to quickly as have hardly worn clothes hanging in the ward robe ? Go for it !
  2. Day 3 post op. First night was uncomfortable in high dependency but morphine helped. Once settled things improved. Had the x Ray to check for leakage the next day which was fine. Free fluids end of day two and onto liquid food day three and now home. Sore in places but not needing any pain relief. Had no issues with banything really, just taking things slowly when eating/drinking. Fingers crossed everything keeps going as is. Did remember thinking WTF am I doing as the they prepared to anthestise me but no regrets so far. Good luck to anyone with a imminent surgery date ?
  3. 32 hours to go (GMT) feeling pretty chilled. Made it through the 2 week pre op, lost just over 15 pounds in the process. Had a low period midway which I think was due to dehydration. Otherwise it gets easier as your body accepts the diet . My stomach did enquire if my throat had been cut on the odd occasion?Downside wás no real energy to do much apart from catch up on all the tv shows that I had recorded. I know the hard part starts soon but I feel the pre op diet is a damm good starter for the rest . Good luck to everyone starting this journey ??
  4. Yep you got me rainbow, we tend to refer to jello as jelly and candy as sweets? All the way from the uk.
  5. 4days to go kept to the pre op diet, mine said basically 2 pints of skimmed milk just over half a chicken breast each day.(don't like green salad) Tea and coffee as long as I use the milk quota. Lost nearly 14lbs in 10 days getting slightly easier.Minimal energy as you would expect but taking it 1 day at a time. Oh forgot the jelly, mixed it with some of the milk for something different. Dearly hope my hunger after the op is diminished ? Good luck to everyone on the waiting lists !
  6. Scheduled 23rd October going well on the pre op diet. Looking forward to the op may get something to eat after it ?
