  3. Well, I had my band Dec 10, of last year, and I'm almost 100 pounds down =]. The pain goes away after about a week. The Gas pains in my arm and shoulder KILLED me. lmao, But I got over it, you guys can too, it's all so worth it in the end. And it's true... I go to subway with my friends(all of which are skinny  ), and we all get 6" subs, and within 3-4 minutes all of them are licking their fingers, and I've taken 4 bites lmao. it's a good feeling, You're going to love it. =]
  4. Lost another 16 pounds since last month. =] almost 100 pounds down since Surgery December 10. Hope everyone's well.
  5. :rolleyes2: Yep. Thats me :]. I tend not to listen to well : D. lol, i think i just musthave misread it. lol.
  6. The preop liquid diet is to shrink your liver. When the surgeon goes in their to put the band on, your liver is large and in the way. But if your on liquids, it shrinks considerably. Wich means less pain for you, because the doctor wont bruise or have to move it around so much, And easier access for the doctors, because they dont have to deal with this big ass liver in their way lol.
  7. Ok,so i noticed a few people go here. And im just wondering how many people im looking at here lol. So let me know if you go? What you like most? Who you like most? Surgery info, date and all. =] Whens your next visit? Also...If your looking into getting the surgery? and your not 18? If your willing to go to Chicago. Look up the New Hope Clinic at the University of Illinois. Their AMAZING there. I LOVE Amy and Mandy.
  8. Wow, ok so i know im behind on this one lol. But i go to newhope also : D (mabey ill make a new thread about it) it would clear up alot of the "where do i go to get it" questions. hmm.... yes, i believe i will. :]
  9. Sooooo Sorry i havnt been posting. The last few months were crazy. Family related stuff. =/ But things have settled down alot. And all of your guys's stories and supposrt like literally put a smile on my face. You guys like made my week =] And as far as updates go? My surgeon is pushing for november! ahhh, ill be so happy! Ive got alot to loose. But its worth it. Even if it takes me years. Whats 3 extra years? when ive been heavy for almost 13 right? =] again, thanks everyone. and i think as it gets closer to my actual date. ill be on here alot more. =] <3

  12. So i looked into the other threads about teens getting the band. And i didnt see anyone under the age of 17/18. Im 15, im in the process of being evaluated for the band. And i was wondering if theirs anyother people on here more around my age. And what how its emotionally effected you. Much appreciated : D Btw, if your older then 17, then give me your views for banding younger teens. (14-17ish)
