  1. Has anyone experienced this...a burning sensation in the pit of stomach for no reason what so ever. My gastric woes for this week extreme fatigue and this burning sensation. Show someone a little kindness each day~Miss Tee
  2. I'm 3 week post op and it use to happen to me a lot. Everything seems so amplified after surgery. I don't think your stomach is strecthing. It's still swollen and making adjustments But if you have reservation call your doctor.
  3. What kind of pain? I know if I wasnt sitting up when I drink it was almost like I could feel the liquids traveling down to my stomach...super weird feeling. Then there would be moments when I drank it felt like heartburn. The pain would leave immediately at the liquid settled.
  4. I'm 3 weeks post-op and I still have tiresome days. Show someone a little kindness each day~Miss Tee
  5. I'm 3 weeks post-op my Uncle was craving Popeyes chicken...which I always loved. He asked me to pick some up and of course the drive-thru line was...super long. I had to go in....ohhhhh nooooo. I went in and felt nothing. The combo meals I use to love, the smell was quite sickening. Preference changes so quickly on the other side of surgery. Being able to say NO to food gets easier.
  6. It's a been rough the first week out. It does get better, I'm 3 weeks post-op.
  7. I was sleeved April 3rd, the taste buds changes quickly. I use to like the shakes and after surgery the vanilla was sickly sweet. Then they started to make me sick so I switched to powder...again sick. My doctor told me to switch to unflavored powder and sprinkle the protein in my greek yogurt, egg whites, and applesauce. So I get as close as I can to my protein intake daily. Monday I'm graduating to soft and squishy foods. I can find foods high in protein and meet my intake. Bye bye liquids
  8. To be honest about 3 hours into work, it felt like 6 hours. My energy dropped, sitting at my desk became uncomfortable, it was hard to focus, and then you begin to look tired. All my co-workers know about my surgery. They know about how upbeat I am and they were like, you should go home.
  9. I stayed out 2 weeks. Some days I'm behind my desk all day and others I'm doing QT control in a gigantic warehouse. I love my job but I felt so out of place my first day back. I expected it, but not like.
  10. I spoke with someone today. They told me to get the unflavored powder and sprinkle it in my egg white, yogurt, or applesauce. I'll try it tomorrow. Each day, a different issue, lol. Today its all about the sharp shooting pain near main incision. Feels like a lump above the incision. I went to work today and realize, I need another week at home.[emoji5] Show someone a little kindness each day~Miss Tee

  12. I'm having some serious issues with protein shakes and powders. At first I thought it was just the taste until they started to make me nauseous and irritate my pouch. I do not want to vomit. I'm allowed pureed foods, no solids. I have no idea how I'm gonna compensate for my protein. Is anyone else having this issue...or have any suggestions. 13. April has been a busy month [emoji4]
  14. The struggle is real. I try to compensate for the protein with greek yogurt and egg whites. It's better than not getting any protein. I suffer through 1 protein shake a day.
  15. I tried protein water, not a fan. I get some protein from greek yogurt and egg whites. I don't have problem drinking water, I love it. I can only get 1 shake down a day. Ive tried all the favors but I just can't stomach more than 1.
  16. I'm at the point I hate waking up in the morning because I know I have to drink protein shakes. Oh how the tastebuds turn against you. I'm lost because there are so few things I eat until 25th. I return to work Monday, let's the good things roll.

  19. For some people it comes right out but it took about 5 or 6 days for me. I walked and walked but nothing happened. My doctor didn't want me to take gas x but some people do, anyway. Just hang in there. Show someone a little kindness each day~Miss Tee

  21. Is anyone in Stage 2 eating egg whites and avocado? I'm 8 days post-op and my appetite is slightly increasing. Any recommendation? Show someone a little kindness each day~Miss Tee
  22. Well its a combination of all those things but for me...worthy it. It's not easy in the beginning...and you make struggle...but it does get better.
  23. I'm sorry you had such a rough time. I keep a cup of water by bed and throughout the night I sip and sip. Despite it all....I have no regrets about the procedure.
  24. I'm struggling to get thru my 2nd protein shake. I can get fluids down but not the protein shakes. Tonight was the first night I felt my food/ drink slide my throat to my tummy. Weird. Does anyone else have this issue? Show someone a little kindness each day~Miss Tee
