I've heard that Gastric Sleeve can be worse for acid reflux sufferers. I've had GERD pretty severely -- but goes away when i don't eat certain foods -- for years. Now that I have my initial consult scheduled, I want to be prepared for if I need to consider bypass instead though i'd really prefer sleeve. I am curious to hear from those whom had GERD and got gastric sleeve of how much worse your GERD is? Etc.

Thanks for the welcomes! Good luck on your surgery! I already talked to my insurance and luckily I have great insurance. They basically said pick any on their approved list and they will approve it. That it is usually quick through them.

Hello! I am new to this forum and I am starting the process to get the gastric sleeve procedure. I am 31 years old and 5ft 2in, 250lbs. I have done the online seminar for the place i plan to go through and i am getting my consult scheduled. I am really excited about doing this. How long from consult to surgery does it take for most?
