  1. I just had RNY on the 6th. Totally honestly, it's rough right now but I see some progress every day. I have to be remember to be patient and trust the process. The nerve are normal and I was feeling right up to them putting me out. Everyone's experience is different so try not to compare too much! I had a rough go and was in recovery for almost 6hrs instead of 2hrs...that may give you a hint of how my day went. [emoji6] You can do this! RNY Dec 6, 2018
  2. I feel you! For some reason that's still not clear to my fuzzy head, I was in surgery for 2hrs but recovery for a little over 5hrs. Don't remember too much until I got to my room. It's getting a little better each day but this is definitely the toughest part!! Hang in there! RNY Dec 6, 2018
  3. Still a bit rough last night! But I'm learning a bit of what works. Just had a little nap and was laying on my side! It was nice to have that change. [emoji4] RNY Dec 6, 2018
  4. Sounds like a bit of a personal preference. Hmm...will ponder this a bit more! RNY Dec 6, 2018

  8. I feel like hell and sleeping in my own bed is awful. I miss the hospital bed adjusting to help with back pain. I woke up today feeling pretty awful. And my 15 yr old is not sympathetic at all...but my hubby is being amazing. I've been reading posts in here and relate to the feeling of crying randomly. Man this is rough! Just venting. 13. Don't give up!!! I'm on 100% liquids for 4 weeks before my surgery. So I'm 1 week in and I am day dreaming about chewing food...anything. I stop myself and just focus on today. Just today. Do it today and tomorrow will come. I know it sounds cliche but its helping!! I've cheated twice but I'm determined to get through this!!! Short term struggle for years of better health.
