@shedo82773 Thank you so much. That was so kind of you! It's me.. I'm blessed with a nice face but my body distracts from it. No one sees beyond the fact I'm overweight. But I've never been so excited to have something change in my life.

I look forward to not breaking down when I look into the mirror. To not feel invisible in a crowded room. For a kind man to take the time to get to know me and how special I am before running away because I don't look good, dating and not being the bigger one in the couple, I look forward to showing the people, the haters, the guys I crushed on who used me, I look forward to having nothing to do with them now. I HURT BAD. I cried for 2 days regretting my decision. I was given no pain meds in recovery was done out patient and felt like they were very rushed. I was extremely unhappy about the way they did their patients. However, it's been 5 full days today and I'm much better. I can walk almost upright, I can't bend down and pick things up still, but the pain is minimal. Still sore but pain and soreness are different. The first 2 days it felt as if I had been beaten with a baseball bat repeatedly. I also had asked the same question you did "how bad will it hurt" so I had prepared myself for pain as bad as a Csection and it was If not a tad worse. But do nothing the first several days except lay in bed and heal and you WILL feel better even if you doubt believe you will:)

I was sleeved same day. Using SF candy for flavor and hunger yes. I AM starving. It started today. I feel like I won't make it through this first week of no food. Kinda scares me. No problems drinking. Still in a fair bit of pain tho.

So, ummmmm, what part of America are you in? ?

I would LOVE to hear that the patch works but seems unlikely? Anyone?

@shanicebarryI love your post. I am like you, I sorta self advanced a little, had a half of a scrambled egg on day 4. I wasn't able to drink those protein shakes and i felt weak and weird. Had half an egg today, am gonna try cream of wheat tomorrow. I chewed the egg until nothing was there to swallow. But I haven't had any problems or regrets from trying which I know is highly uncommon... but I wouldn't have tried had I thought or found out I couldn't..

I've gone thru a box of gas x & walked a lot. I've been able to differentiate gas from pain for the most part. That gas pain is nojoke!

I agree. I thought it was absolutely ludicrous. Torture if you will.

I know there's no way it's just me but wow. I never dreamed my back could be so sore from all the weird movements etc. it kills!

I'm feeling better today. Less down. Most of my pain is my back!! From all the weird positions you get in and trying to get up and down. Selling has gone down a little as has the redness.

No I haven't called them. I feel like I'd be be one of those Whiney patients. But maybe I should. Yes I'm alternating Tylenol with Vicodin. I'm just shocked they rushed me out of that surgery center in a matter of hours. Didn't matter that I was crying and falling asleep when they made me walk laps. Didn't matter that I couldn't go to the restroom so they Used a catheter they want me out of there. It seems an overnight stay should be mandatory. My back hurts from laying on it. Everything hurts much more than I anticipated. I'm honestly afraid I'll never feel the same again. Did they tell any of you guys to drink a warm beverage each am to prepare the sleeve for solids? Why do I have to wait a week before having creamy protein shakes? I want to die. Since I can't die I just cry

Glad to see your posts. My pain is an 8 at least. It was yesterday the surgery.. I hurt so bad and I don't see how it will decrease. Fortunately I had bought a recliner a month ago. It's a lifesaver. Are you guys walking with pillows or were you? And how do you feel mentally??

I'm scared. I'm pretty sure I was beat with a baseball bat for hours. This pain is the worst I've ever felt. I am scared to ask but when will it subside? I got 20 Vicodin and that's all they gave. I got nothing yesterday in recovery even. I'm really scared that I made a huge mistake. I'm really scared this pain will last for weeks. I'm just scared of a lot right now. I've been hateful to my mom who is here helping I'm not myself and I know it's normal but I'm scared of this pain!!

On the protein powders, how many grams does a tablespoon give you? Are they all different?

The surgery place told me to wear a sundress tomorrow that I wouldn't want anything touching my waist. Did you guys experience that and if so how long before you felt comfortable in normal clothes?

Thank you! I'm hoping to get ideas like this. I can't stand chocolate anything so I'll have to avoid that. But I do love skim milk and the thought of getting a lot of protein out of the way!

My surgery is In the am!! I'm really nervous and I'm concerned more with possible pain than anything. My doctor does do anything. It an abdominal pain block. No pain meds the day of and it's outpatient in by 630 out by noon. Seems rushed which makes me nervous too. I finally got him to prescribe some pain meds for home in case. I just know a hiatal hernia and the sleeve will leave me in pain. There's no way it wouldn't!!!! Eeeek!

I'm looking for someone in Texas maybe even semi near to dfw! My surgery is tomorrow!! I would love to find a buddy who doesn't mind sharing everything with me! Lol
