    August Sleeve

Can't complain about losing 36lbs but man it's been a hard way to get here. Like any weight loss program is easy--not. Wonder if this degree of weight loss continues for awhile? Had many stalls then a drop, the stall and back n forth.

    August Sleeve

It's a struggle for me. Usually I'll have an egg or shake for B-fast, soup for lunch and a small light dinner like fish. Have lost 36 lbs since surgery. No exercise yet. Had other injuries that have stopped exercise besides walking.
  4. I'm feeling about the same. Two months out and I every thing I eat makes me feel bad. Not throwing up anymore. I've figured out when to stop before that kicks in, but I get stomach ache every time I eat no matter what it is. Getting tired of this, but then can't do a thing about it. Can't put my stomach back on. It's gone! Trying to get through this phase. But it is challenging!

    Vitamins making me nauseous

Me too, but eating first doesn't help.
  7. I'm 5 weeks out and still can't get all my water in. Just keep sipping is what my MD told me to do.
  8. I find soup is a good safe food when going out. Small bites!
  9. 36% is amazing. Good for you! M

    Dry lips!

My lips have been cracking. I Figured it's because I'm probably dehydrated. I'm not getting enuf water.
  11. For me if I eat too fast I het nauseated. Then if I've been real bad I lose my tummy contents. Just saw my doc today and am down 20% of what I want to lose total. So I'm happy with that I think reading everyone's pounds lost is difficult cuz we all started at different places and have different goals of how much we want or need to lose. So percentage of the goal might be better way to express the loss, at least for me. Thanks for sharing.

    So confused

Remember when you are in the hospital, they load you up with saline and IV stuff. I also had hernia repair with my sleeve, but hang in there it'll turn around. Mine did. Patience is the key. Give your body time to heal. It's been thru a lot.
  13. Of course and yes 4 weeks ago. Don't kid yourself my first week was hell. I was so incredibly hungry. It was amazing. But I had other work issues that I had to attend to so I had to focus on other things besides myself. I'm actually thankful for that. I would have sat on the sofa and wallowed in my hunger.
  14. I had virtually no pain. Slight discomfort but never took pain meds. The hardest part for me was changing my relationship with food.
  15. Week-1 liquids. Went to office a few hours self employed. Week 2 - puréed food. Work full time big tired!! Week 3 - liquid and some solid foods Week 4 - liquid and solid. But super careful. Very small amounts and lots of chewing. I have to be careful about gagging.
  16. The first week was hell for me. I'm now 3 weeks out and it is much better. I'm eating soft foods probably too early but so far ok. It does get easier. I'm hoping it just becomes part of who I am and it doesn't bother me anymore. The weight loss will come. I had a big stall for about 5 days now it is just falling off. You will get there you will e able to eat again in the future but in much smaller portions. Hang in there.
  17. Same place. I'm 5 days post op and struggling. Regret decision to go under the knife. I've lost lots in the past but regained it time and time again. So I think I could have done it myself but in reality I couldn't bc I never have. But this isn't as easy as they made it seem. I am famished. Reading all these posts help. It's done and I can't go back but I sure am doubting my choice.
