You are right that could be the case. In the area we are in we are getting it for sure but it isn't too bad. I know in Miami and the Keys things are really bad. I was so excited but I have to telescope cause my surgery will happen in due time.

So I have my surgery scheduled for 9/15 but due to the hurricane I haven't been able to get my labs done. If I get my labs done on Tuesday do you think my doctor will get my results by Thursday to clear me for surgery Friday?

I think it would be ok for you to have some grilled chicken. I am suppose to have surgery on 9/15 but now I am not sure cause of the hurricane. My pre Opt diet I can one meal with lean meat and two veggies. Good luck to you and stay safe!

I am at Disney for Labor Day weekend and it is hard seeing the Carmel apples and cheeseburger and fries but I am hanging tough. Getting sleeved Sept 15th

I am also traveling about 6 weeks after surgery. Didn't know I should walk on the plane. Would love advice as well.

Just got word that my insurance approved me for surgery. Can't wait to have it scheduled. Hoping for a September date for sure!

Each insurance requires different things. Usually approvals comes after the monitored nutrition and weigh in period. That can range from 3 to 6 months from my research. I have Cigna and the insurance which required me to have 3 consecutive months of nutrition appointments and weigh ins along with the psych evaluation. I also had to do an endoscopy, ultrasound and sleep apenia test. Once I completed by 3 months my paperwork was filled for approval and I am currently waiting for Cigna to make a decision. Omg me too - I am going to miss my club soda and sparkling water. I am also going to miss chugging water. It will be worth it in the end......hopefully!

I am hoping my surgery will be scheduled for September. Right now I think it will be for the last week. I am going to Las Vegas in November so I really want to be a good six weeks post surgery before I go.
