KRTORK - congrats on the run - that's awesome SLIM - good luck on the projects LULUC - the statement 'touching way of speaking to me' in regards to plain - just gives me the willies! But regardless as you know - whatever it takes to keep you here - I'm with it! Been very busy today (not usually a good plan on a 24 hr+ day as I head back into work tonight) but I had cleaning and cooking to do. Was cooking up a storm! One thing - my herbs have taken on a life of their own - I grow them in pots and yet I have basil and oregano 'weeds' coming up throughout my garden - had to make pesto. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

G4E - thinking about you for monday! Had a great 'me' day today. I actually went and saw 2 movies: A perfect Getaway (had to see b/c of my love for kauai) and Julie and Julia - thought of all my foodie friends. Then I went and got a pedicure. Back to the movies though - I really loved the J&J movie - renewed my respect for what an amazing woman Julia Child really was - but not only her - Her husband was an awesome man. Going to have to cook something with butter this week just in her honor - DARN! Babysitting my goddaughter right now and watching the Chiefs first preseason game - life could only be better if I was cooking too - if I was at my house I would be.

I am sitting here at my goddaughter's parent's house (they only live 3 houses down from me) getting them wasted on watermelon mojitos - just had to send someone to get more rum and ice!

Morning all So there I was last night enjoying my rather large watermelon mojito when I get a call from my goddaughter's parents saying they wanted to take me out. I tried to explain that I was post shift, up most of the day, un-showered and sitting in my pj's. Long story short - I was told I had 15 min to be outside or they would come in. Turns out friends of theirs who own one of our favorite local bars have been working on another one, also close to us (so dangerous) This weekend is the soft opening so free drinks and food for friends. When we went out last night - the new place was already closed so we went to the other place. Not sure how my weekend has gotten hijacked but we are apparently pre-partying at their house this evening (I will be bringing pitchers of the mojitos) and then going to the new place for free food and drink. Guess I am still on liquids! :thumbup: I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT FRIDAY! Heading back into the hospital in a couple hours for some mtgs other than that - MUST CLEAN!

Ooohhh - they could PM me too (but only if Gloucester was standing right behind me) Speaking of this - it's where I am now - and let me tell you I am a whale - flubber blubber and all!

I ended up picking the smoked salmon bisque - hard choice though but decided something warm would be good for me band - especially since I am about to be enjoying ice cold watermelon mojitos! Gazpacho (will be having tomorrow) is a chilled soup - different versions but basically a pureed soup of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, vinegar, herbs and spices - think salsa flavors with more veggies. If I wasn't on liquids - I would serve it with chunked avocado and mexican grilled shrimp. SOOOOO good!

So I got a much needed fill today - although a little suspicious that it might be a wee bit too much - I'll wade it out till monday and see. So: L: muscle milk light chocolate shake S: 1 activia yogurt, frozen D: will be gazpacho or smoked salmon bisque - haven't decided making watermelon mojitos

Speaking of said sexy handymen - you should have seen them pop up over the fence the other day when they heard glass breaking in my backyard.

well you see - we had a pt code this morning and I was trying to be positive and say it wouldn't happen again until after our shift was over - I was wrong - but only partially because he's still with us which they said wouldn't happen. So really I feel like I wasn't a complete loser (try to keep telling myself that) but I promised the cinnamon rolls anyway.
