  1. Are other losers loosing weight and not drinking as much water as they have been told to drink? I can only manage about 40 fluid ounces, I try every day to drink more but it makes me sick and I was becoming obsessed by it as it is drummed into us how important it is. I’ve lost 63 pounds since August, so I’m about half way. I’m not too unhappy, I know I would probably have lost more if I drank more or would I? You tell me. Also cant exercise because my hips packed in and I need a new one!
  2. When one of us looses we all lose.
  3. Listen to your body, you might fancy trying a sandwich but your stomach might think otherwise and will let you know. I’m like everyone else in that I eat protein, veg then a few carbs, but I do have a glass of wine now and again or a low calorie g&t. Only a small one and it takes a couple of hours to drink it ?. I struggle to eat more than 800 calories a day so I make sure it’s the things I really like but also doesn’t have many carbs. I don’t care if I never eat another sandwich if it means I can feel like I do now, I feel normal, I feel healthy and I feel proud and I pray each day that I will keep loosing. ?
  4. Pretty accurate for me. Started at 304 now 245 at 3.5 months, can’t wait to see what it will be at a year.
  5. You will know when your full, your body will tell you, don’t push it and don’t worry if you can only eat a mouthful of food, I still can only eat a couple of ounces at a time, also I sneeze when I get full ?. Your taste buds might change too. The main thing is don’t sweat the small stuff and when you get your first stall don’t worry it will pass. Protein and water will become your priority but again listen to your body and increase it when you can. I can’t exercise much as I’m waiting to get a new hip, this worried me but I’m still managing to loose. Good luck and enjoy your new body.
  6. Have you measured yourself with a tape measure? Sometimes the tape gives you good news when the scales don’t. Try to relax it happens to us all. I stalled for 3 weeks and have now lost 5 this week, I’m sure I will stall again soon. If you feel the need to binge, talk to someone, but someone who will understand.
  7. Your not bragging, your an encouragement to us all. We all loose differently and hearing other successes keeps us going. Keep us posted we want to hear.
  8. Well done and thanks for sharing. You look fantastic x
  9. Thank you for sharing, this really helps motivate and encourage newbies trying so hard to achieve their goal and everytime they stall thinking “is this it”.
  10. Eggs now make me sick! Keep trying but still can’t eat them.
  11. Quite often have a glass of wine at night. Or a gin and low cal tonic (less calories than wine). Don’t feel any different except I can only manage one as I’m full.
  12. Hi good to hear from you. I’m doing ok, have now lost 52lbs. Still struggle with water and protein and never quite make it! I eat between 800 and 1000 calories, but find it hard to eat anD don’t enjoy mealtimes. I hate the stalls, they drive me mad, no one told me about the stalls beforehand but I love that I have dropped 3 dress sizes. I’ve got a bitfit which is great for tracking food and exercise. There are days when I regret because its taken over my life it but it passes. Hope about you? Hope your winning.
  13. That’s brill, well done. I had my sleeve in August too. I have lost 52 pounds and am pleased but 101 is fantastic. Did you have any stalls o4 was i5 continuous loss?
  14. Everyone’s different - My pants are hanging off me!
  15. Went on a plane couple of weeks ago and didn’t need a seatbelt extension. I felt so chuffed.
  16. I miss bread, love that I can have cheese, meats etc but I want to wrap them in a sandwich.
  17. I’m following a keto style diet which is pretty much what is advised for bariatric dieters. I concentrate on protein, then fat and avoid carbs. I follow the plan that I’ve attached below. I have this on my fridge to remind me.
  18. Fantastic you look great, I though if you had lymphademia then your legs and ankles would always be swollen. I think I might have it but not sure, very encouraging to know that the swelling might go. Well done.
  19. I was sleeved in August and regularly have a glass of wine or a gin and slimline tonic (much less calories). I don’t find any difference in the effect. I do have a problem eating, I can only eat about an ounce at a time and struggle to eat more than 800 calories a day, this is slowing down my loss as I’m not eating enough and mealtimes are a nightmare ?
  20. Sleeved on 8th August, have lost 49 pounds but this last week, i have put on two, lost the 2, then put it Back on again!. However, the tape measure says I’m losing. I walk a mile a day and have started swimming. I struggle with the water, it gets me down. At the moment I hate meal times as I have no appetite and have to force myself to eat, and can’t find anything I really fancy except a Big Mac! Usually, after a couple of bites, I feel sick! Also if I do manage to eat too much then it makes me sneeze. ?. I’m worried that the whole thing is taking over my life! And sometimes I regret it! But I do love the fact that I’m going down in dress sizes and feel a lot more energized. I’m too impatient, and worry all the time that I won’t lose anymore even though I know that’s crazy. My husband is brill anD keeps me motivated ❤️.
  21. Looking great - well done. Which part of your body do you find it hardest to lose from? Tummy, bum or thighs? Mine seems to be my thunder thighs ?
  22. I get head hungry but when it comes to actually eating something, one bite and I don’t like the taste or it fills me straight up! I can’t cheat even if I want to? I struggle all day to find something to eat that I will like, food is no longer the same to me, I miss it but its the price I have to pay!
  23. Pumpkin seeds, peanuts, almonds pistachios etc all good for nibbling and high protein.
