  1. Does everyone already have insurance approval? Kind of feeling worried because my doctors office isn't going to send to my insurance in till October 26/27th. That will be when I've completed the required nutrition appointments. My tentative date is November 6th. This will be a revision from lab band(2007) to RNY
  2. Okay mine is Dr.Follwell his partner. How are you doing after surgery?
  3. I'm in Port St Lucie! If all goes well will have surgery Nov 6th. Who is your surgeon?
  4. Band could of slipped. Probably will Need an endoscopy to check the band, living on a liquid diet is no way to live, I hope you find out what's going on and feel better soon.
  5. I've had to give myself lovenox everyday for both of my pregnancies. The injection will sting but should go away after a few minutes. My last baby I developed a DVT and a PE, the shots are worth it. My surgeon said I'll be on them Longer then two weeks because of my FVL.
  6. This is coming from someone who has a lap band since the end of 2006. I originally tried to have an RNY at the time the insurance denied it. I have never had real success with my band, lost 40 lbs and that's it. I throw up a lot. I'm now about 25 lbs more then when I had surgery. I wasn't the best patient had a lot of traumatic things after the band happen but regardless I always feel hungry. I'm now in the process of trying to get approved for the RNY. If I could go back I wouldn't of gotten the band I wish I would of fought for the other surgery. But I was only 23. I recently went to my group nutrition meeting their were two other prior lap bands and we were all still obese and having revisions done.
  7. I also have FVL, only one copy. In October I developed a blood clot and double PE After my c-section I had in the end of September. I'm very scared of another surgery but the surgeon said I will be on thinners for longer then the normal two weeks he does with everyone. Did they put you on thinners?
  8. I'm a nursing mom of a 10 month old. I was also an exclusive pumper with my second daughter. I'm trying to wean my baby at a year because I doubt I will produce enough for her after surgery. I drink around 120 oz of water a day now and after surgery I know I won't be able to drink that much. I'm trying to start pumping now to have a stash to use.
  9. I'm hoping to have a revision from my band to RNY this November. I'm so scared the insurance isn't going to approve it. When I went to meet with the surgeon he asked if I threw up a lot and I was honest that I usually throw up everyday so he removed the fluid.. I feel so hungry all the time and have gained 5 lbs. I never was successful with losing a lot of weight with my band. So I'm happy to see how successful you were.
  10. I also have Cigna. Have you heard anything from your insurance ? I'm trying for a revision band to RNY. I'm so nervous. What did your insurance require ?
  11. My tentative surgery date is November 6th, so I will still be on a liquid diet at Thanksgiving. I already told my husband that the kids and him can go eat my parents or his and I'll stay home. I don't want to deal with the stress. I'll just go shopping for deals instead lol
