    Yes advocate for yourself. It's hard when your in pain to keep on top. But you have too. I agree to see you family doctor also. Keep family doctor informed. For me personally I thought my surgeon knew everything. And that wasn't the case. My family doctor was helpful. Also is your iron low? Anemic? Ask to see hematologist.     That's what I had too. Hopefully the meds will help. Hernia are no joke. I get it. It's frustrating and your in pain. You just want it to go away and do t want to do anything that will make it worse. At least that's how I felt when when I was going through my ordeal.     Hope this gets resolved soon. I've dealt with hernias before. They fixed one when endoscopy was done to be cleared for gastric. Where is your hernia? Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using BariatricPal mobile app
