  8. Make small changes in your diet at a time. Don't be ashamed if you mess up. You are required to do 6 months because changing eating habits is HARD! Work with your nutritionist and let her know where are are struggling. It's nutrition and food habit counseling! Use it that way! I lost 30 pounds during my 6 month nutrition program. It really isn't a DIET. It's an eating habit and lifestyle change. Make small changes at a time and you will do great! I just got my surgery date for December 21st!

  14. I got my date! December 21. I'm kinda bummed because my insurance company messed around approving my surgery and it caused me to wait until late December because the surgeon's calendar filled up for November. I'm upset too because my BFF started this process with me and she got approved in 3 days! Her surgery is November 29. So I'm excited, but now I have to wait another 45 days until my surgery.
  15. Get the Mirena IUD. best decision even. Very very low hormone release and it lasts 5 years. My periods are basically nonexistent. If I do bleed it's a few drops. It's AWESOME!

  19. Yay! Keep us posted! I live in southern Ohio and won't be able to get to the support groups. Wish there were some around here.
  20. Who is your surgeon? I have Dr Rana. Message me to let me know how it goes!
  21. I'm getting my surgery in Columbus, but at OhioHealth Riverside.
  22. BCBS (Ohio). I have 6 months of dietary visits and I just finished visit #3. I will be done with them in mid-October at which time they will send my information to my insurance for approval. My surgeon estimated a late November or dearly December surgery.
  23. Based on my progress through my insurance requirements, I'm estimating my surgery to be in late November. I don't have an exact date yet. Looking forward to getting this weight off!
