  1. Probably worlds stupidest question. I lost a lot of weight since my surgery in December.(80lb) I had a pretty big booty before, now its very boney. Every time I do floor exercises my tailbone hurts so bad. I avoid floor exercises, as well as sitting on the floor. I doesn't hurt during other activities or sitting on soft things. Is this normal when you first lose weight. Does my body just have to get use to the lack of padding. I know this is a very stupid question. My husband and daughter say it cause I'm skinny now. So I was wondering if it really was normal.

    frustrating

I know this is a common topic, but I have stop losing weight. I had my surgery Dec 1st, and I was doing well with the weight loss. I lost close to 66 pounds. Then about a month ago I stopped loosing weight. I have been staying within a 3 pound range. It's frustrating and kind of heart breaking. I was steadily losing weight, then boom nothing. I feel like all the hard work i have been doing is for nothing. I am trying to stay positive. I know stalls happen. I just didn't know they would last this long.

    frustrating

The one thing i never really did was keep track of my food intake. I know its something i should do, but i keep forgetting. I tend to eat the something everyday. Maybe it is time to change it up a little. I still weigh food out. I usually eat between 5 and 6 ounces depending on what I'm eating.i wish i had carbs. That was the one thing i have totally cut out of my diet. I know I have to be patience, its just frustrating

  8. Hi, I'm at the very beginning stages of the WLS process. Can anyone tell me exactly what the requirements are for Medicare/Medicaid approval? I would like to know about how long it takes for them to approve the surgery. Thank you for any help offered. Sent from my SM-G900T using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Hi everyone!! I had my surgery on 12/1 and so far my progress has been really good. (I think) I have lost a little over 50lbs. As many of you have experence, I have a lot of loose skin forming. Anyone have suggestions on how to minimize it? I really dont want to have surgery to have it removed, so any suggestions would be awesome.

    Portion Sizes

Hi everyone!! So Im on the final eating stage, but my nutritionist quit right after my 1 month follow up. I wont see the new one until March..... What are the portions sizes i should be eating. I dont know if i am eating too much, because I am ALWAYS hungry and never feel full. I measure 4-6 oz for everything on my plate. Is that right? Or am I suppose to be using measuring cups? How much protein should I have at each meal and how much vegetable should i have with it? What if its salad? My last questions is does anyone have suggestion to help with the always hungry and never feeling full sitution. Thanks everyone for any help you can provide.

    Protein

Hi everyone, I had my operation last Friday. I am having a very hard time getting the 70g Protein a day. Right now Im lucky if get 35g. And that's from Protein Water. Apparently my stomach no longer like the Protein Shakes or anything dairy. It seems everything I eat now my stomach disagrees with. so Im basically stuff with broth and water. This is also not helping the constipation situation. Right now i am trying to eat 1 stage baby food. We will see how that goes, but i dont think its going well. I am taking Multivitamins, but is there something i can take for the protein. For example gummies, pills, anything not dairy related. I know i need protein, i just dont know how to get it in my system. I will see my doctor Friday the 15th. Any suggestions?

    UGH!!

My surgery is on friday. Last week my daughter was sick and had a strep throat. Today I woke up feeling like crap. I have so many things to do before the surgery. I doubt it, but would they still perform the surgery if I'm sick? Sent from my SM-G900T using BariatricPal mobile app

    question

Hi everyone! I just had my surgery yesterday. Does anyone have suggestion on how to get rid of the gas/air pain? The other question that I totally forgot to ask the nurses. How much protein shake should I drink at each sitting? Thanks guys!!
  19. Today I got my surgery date, (12/1) and I'm super excited. Here is my question. My husband works 3rd shift Sunday night through Thursday night. He has Friday and Saturday off. My surgery is on a Friday, How many days should he request off from work? I also have an 11 year-old. I'm not that worried about her helping out. Expect for making sure she actually gets out bed in the a.m, to get ready for school. I'm not to worried about dinners and household stuff. Would be able to return Monday?

    Packing

My surgery date is 12/1. I'm super excited. What would you guys recommend I wear to the hospital, as well as what I should pack for the hospital stay. I'm not sure what to pack given the fact that it's winter. Thanks guys. Sent from my SM-G900T using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. I got my date for my surgery today. (12/20/17) I'm super excited, but now I have a million questions relating to preparing for after the surgery. How did those of you with a family prepare for it?I'm thinking about making a bunch of freezer meals for my family a head of time. I am a stay at home mom, so I handle most of the household activities. I love my husband to death, but he cant cook and stinks at cleaning. He also works 3rd shift, so he is sleeping most of daytime.. So anything I can do before the surgery would be helpful for him, Then of course Christmas is a few days after the surgery. Thankfully I don't cook for Christmas. So I don't have to worry about diner for my family for those two days. How long did it take for you parents to be able to get back to family tasks. For example cleaning, cooking, driving to activities, and other physical activities?
  23. Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'll keep them in mind. I was talking to my husband about what my restrictions will be. I planned to make meals ahead of time. My husband will be taking off some time off to help me and thankfully my daughter will been on vaction that week. My husband is determined to work around his schedule and do the cooking and cleaning. My daughter secretly asked me to make pre-made meals, lol. I know things will work out the first week and a half. After that things may be a but stressful for me. On top of parent and household duties, I am a girl scouts leader for 2 troops. So really I think I'm just going to have to learn to find tricks to do everything. 24. I am a stay at home mother, due to my husband working night. I am the one that shops and prepares meals 6 days out of the week. I was wondering if there were any single parents or parents that have had/are having surgery. How did you manage changing your diet when you have a family? How did you prepare before the surgery? I know my husband is totally on board with healthier eating, but I worried about how I will eat the first few weeks after the surgery.i have growing child, so i know I will have food in the house that will be tempted especially when I have to cook dinner for my husband and daughter. How did you guys handle situations like this? Thanks for your help Sent from my SM-G900T using BariatricPal mobile app
