Maybe I am dumb - but what is a pannus?

How many calories do you eat in a day Victorious Valentines?
My dr told me to avoid calorie counting right now (I tend to obsess!). I am just making smarter choices and occasionally tracking my protein to see where I am with that. I have never done the low carb thing so I am not sure where I would be with those.

Band friendly fast food...
I tried that this weekend and it was perfect for me!

What food gets stuck the most?
I kinda wish I had a problem with french fries! They still go down easily...granted now I chew them and take bites instead of shoving a handfull in at once!

Share your NSV's!!!!!!!!!!
I dug into some old dress clothes I had hung onto and found 3 pairs of pants that finally fit again! YEA! I even had one pair that were too big! Now I wish I would have kept all of those clothes I got rid of when I was in my "These will never fit again, might as well give them away" phase.

Irrational fears
I have the fear of clowns as well. UGH - I hate the sight of them! Those and mice - I can't take the thought of mice and we live in the country so we get them occasionally.....yuk!

Had a bad food weekend all together. Ate 1/2 of the bun from a chicken sandwich I ordered on Friday at lunch....hurt like hell.....ate a salad on Friday night - but tried to eat one tiny square of really thin crust pizza on Friday night....hurt like hell and pb'd for the very first time. Ate Mexican food on Saturday night (yes we went out all weekend for different reasons with different people) - didn't hurt but I am sure I ate way too much. Why do I torture myself by eating things I KNOW will hurt? I have no idea why I do it. I won't be surprised if I didn't lose much this week when I weigh in on Wednesday.....but if I don't it is my own fault. I hate that I do that to myself week after week after week after week......grrrr.....

To Office Slave and Others I Offended
Oh Brenda - No worries my friend. I am not offended or mad. I just had wished I hadn't seen it. I am not upset at you. Please do not go into the woodwork because of something that small! Seriously! We have all done things like that and people will get over it....or they won't - you can't let that get to you. Heck - I hadn't even thought about it again after I posted my message.

I can really "feel" my port!
Right after my surgery I really wasnt 100% sure where my port was (other than the pain in that general area) and now I can REALLY feel it! I haven't lost ALL that much but it is RIGHT at the surface. Can you feel yours? Has it come closer to the surface with your weightloss?

TV shows you love
The Biggest Loser, Survivor, Jon & Kate+8, Big Bang Theory, 2 1/2 Men.....but sadly I don't seem to get to watch any of them consistently!

Can't believe it's been two months
WOW! That is an awesome amount of weight in such a short time! Congrats!

Biggest Loser Winner is ....
I am thrilled to that a woman won, but I wish the title of your email didn't have it, I have avoided all articles on it this morning since I DVR'd it to watch tonight. I love that show!

Do you have words that irritate you?
I most of mine have been mentioned......WaRshington, irregardless, I seen..... My husband and his family will say "piney" when they mean to say peony. Where the heck did PINEY come from? People around here will also say "I done." as in "I done went to that movie already." Grrrr......makes my skin crawl.

What food gets stuck the most?
What food do you eat that seems to give you the most problems as far as getting stuck.....but you keep eating? I have trouble with oatmeal of all things. I think I forget and take too big of a bite about half the time. How about you?
-
What is the most you've ever weighed? The least?
My highest was 251 the day before surgery. I am another shortie (5ft 2in also) so that isn't good. I was around 110 when I got my first driver's license about 16 yrs ago.....and I think that is what it still says!

How long were you off work?
I had 3 weeks off. I probably could have gone back at 2 - but since I was approved for 3 I took it and was glad I did.

An Open Letter to my Bathroom Scale-
Too funny Tara! I am sitting at my desk cracking up! I am sure my boss thinks I am losing it!

Share your NSV's!!!!!!!!!!
This may be TMI - so you may want to stop reading.................. But I had a visit from Aunt Flo for the first time in 6 or 8 months.....my dr said it would come back when I lost weight. Not really a "victory" since that whole process sucks, but it does show I am losing!

Had my first "stuck" moment!
Actually I am starting to wonder if I am too tight or something as I am sitting here trying to eat oatmeal (and really, how much can you CHEW oatmeal?) and it is hurting off and on. I am taking small bites, but some are painful. Hopefully SOME of the swelling will go down a little. I REALLY need some restriction - but ouch! I guess I am just now learning what it means to be banded since that was my first fill.
-
Had my first "stuck" moment!
I had my first fill on Monday. I was supposed to be on liquids for 48 hours and I was starving last night. I looked at the list I had from my post-op diet and low fat cheese was on there so I grabbed a string cheese. I was happily eating it while watching Biggest Loser last night and WHAM. It was stuck. I thought my chest was going to EXPLODE. Holy crap it hurt. I think the problem was I wasn't paying attention to the food, and was watching the show instead and didn't chew enough or ate too fast. Man - that was painful! Ouch! Needless to say I didn't eat another bite.
-
I finally had a fill! YEAH!
Sorry if I scared you! I was really surprised that it didn't hurt! Keep that in mind. I have heard on here about a lot of people who have the area numbed first - I didn't and it really didn't hurt at all....seriously it is a very THIN needle (according to my doc) so it didn't hurt at all and I am a total wimp!

anyone from indiana?
I had mine done at St Vincents as well. I was the only lap-band patient on the floor at that time and the nurses were all surprised I wasn't a gastric patient! I really had no issues there other than I didn't think they were as interested in things like me getting up to walk often etc....but I am pretty self-reliant and was doing it myself as much as I was able to.
