  1. Yeah like when I bend down or use my abs it burns from the inside! I'm so mad at myself
  2. I had a laughing fit the other day that put me into tears it was so painful. I woke up this morning with a jabbing, burning pain in my left side that wasn't like the typical soreness. Called my surgeon today and he said I may have pinched a nerve. Recommended using a heating pad so I'm doing that now. Didn't stop me from my walk or drinking liquids so it's not THAT bad but I'm so annoyed! Just another thing that needs to heal now. Anyone else have that?
  3. Yes! My pain is in the same area! I bought some protein water today I'm going to start drinking that, maybe it'll help. It's so weird. But I agree, the only thing that makes it go away is drinking something. I basically drank an additional 12 oz in my sleep last night.
  4. Has anyone been getting this shooting pain in your upper chest/stomach area? I've been getting it only while sleeping and the only thing that subsides it is drinking something. Then my stomach gurgles for a bit and it stops for a few hours before starting again. Last night I was up every few hours because of this pain! It's so weird! I think someone else might have mentioned this before. I do take acid reflux meds in the morning per doctors orders.
  5. Hi! I can answer this because I love mine! A binder is like a Velcro wrap they provide post op to kinda keep your stomach and everything tight. Moving around is painful at times so the binder keeps everything in place. I literally wear mine 24/7, even to sleep. Layla - did I miss anything?
  6. Yeah they did. I use it sometimes I'd just like to know what's causing it.
  7. Ugh I'm jealous. I keep getting these random waves sometimes. I wonder if I mighy drink too fast? I dunno. I see my team on Friday, maybe they have some insight.
  8. Thanks! You too! Do you still get nausea sometimes or no ?
  9. I'm getting up and down like a snail too! I'm still struggling with fluid but going to get 48oz in today which is the most I've done so far. I Just need to keep remembering it's a process.
  10. Congrats! I spoke with my surgeon about the protein intake and his team assured me were ok without it during the first week post op. They want to be sure we're just staying hydrated, period. If we get it down, great that is just a bonus.
  11. Yeah, I gained 5 pounds after surgery. I spoke with my surgeon today about it and he said it's because of all of the swelling and fluid retention. I've lost all of it as of today, so now I'm back to my surgery weight. Really annoying though!
  12. Thanks so much. This gives me a light at the end of the tunnel. I've been only managing 10-15 min walks. I appreciate the helpful words!
  13. Thank you for the kind words. Really struggling today.
  14. I got sleeved 11/9 so it's only been 4 days. Today I feel so nauseous and struggling with my fluids. Got my walk in though, even if it was for 10 minutes. Every day I feel a little bit better but how long until I feel 100%? I know the next couple months will be a struggle but some insight will be helpful.
  15. I was sleeved 11/9 and I have that too. Someone on the thread mentioned patting your chest to help you burp and it really helps. Not sure how long it will last but it's def a relief.
  16. They did, they weren't working. I think it was the anesthesia wearing off but I haven't had any since Friday, thank goodness.
  17. You're doing awesome! Tomorrow I need to shoot for another 12oz..I haven't been really peeing.
  18. That makes me feel better too. I've had 36oz of Powerade zero. And my dad made me laugh and I was in tears from the pain. Not a good idea to laugh right now.
  19. Did anyone gain weight? I weighed myself about 5 hours after surgery and gained 5. Then today (3 days post op) I weighed myself again and still 2 lbs heavier than when I walked into surgery. What's with that?
  20. How is everyone doing with their fluids? I'm struggling. I've only gotten about 10 oz in so far any tips?
  21. When did you guys start your protein post op? Im 3 days post op and noticed I have gained 2 pounds from when i went into surgery. So that's annoying. Been drinking water and Powerade zero.
  22. I use mine. I find the tighter you make it, the less pain. Still painful but easier. Let's hope this gets easier. I need to walk more.
  23. I haven't tried the protein shakes yet. I bought protein water, waiting for it to deliver. Whenever I walk, I have to hold my stomach bc it's really painful. I showered today which made me feel better. I've been taking the pain meds but i agree, I don't like how they make me sleepy. I just want to fast forward this part
  24. I just hope it keeps getting better each day
  25. I feel the same exact way. I've drank about 20oz of fluids today and tried to walk as much as possible. This is hard.
