  1. Sorry to hear that, sending good thoughts your way and hoping for a speedy recovery!
  2. Today was day 4 out of 14 and I have lost 8 pounds so far (I'm sure a lot of it is water weight). I do get pangs of hunger and pout for a second that I can't have real food but quickly get over it. The broths and protein shakes do actually satisfy my hunger. If I'm REALLY hungry, I'm allowed hard boiled egg whites so I just have 3 of those. I haven't lost energy, drinking green tea WORKS! Curves hunger and keeps me alert. Just taking it one day at a time and doing everything I'm told so my surgeon is a happy camper on Nov 9th!
  3. Great job and congrats! I got through mine today, too! Wasn't as hard as I thought. Home stretch, here we are!
  4. Haha you're killing this! I finally weighed myself after 4 days and have lost 8 pounds. Hoping to reach 15 like you by our surgery dates!
  5. Congrats, that's awesome! I hear ya on the party. I have one tomorrow and I'm going to have to fake a stomach ache to defend why I'm not drinking.
  6. Congrats on your journey so far! Do you credit your 78 lb weight loss from intense working out? Or more following your diet? I'm going through my first week on the liquid diet and I'm just curious to know how much weight I'll lose the first couple months. Totally understand everyone's body is different but just wondering!
  7. 15 POUNDS HOLY MOLY! That's amazing!!! It's been less than a week hasn't it? I hope I lose 15. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow. I know, I feel the same way. We'll feel so much better when the surgery is behind us and we can focus on getting our life back!
  8. Just checking in to see how everyone's pre op diet is going? I'm on day 3 and so far so good. I keep hearing it gets easier as the days go by. I'm allowed hard boiled egg whites and I think that helps a bit. Though my surgeon didn't give me a limit, I allow myself 3 egg whites a day. I haven't worked out while on this diet though I feel like it will make me more hungry. Any thoughts? *Nov 9 Surgery Date*
  9. That's awesome! Day two down, happy to hear it gets easier! 11/9 surgery date
  10. Nov 9th here! Started pre op liquid diet yesterday. Wasn't too terrible. 1 day down, 13 to go!
  11. Oh no I haven't heard of it. I'll check it out, thank you!
  12. Hi! I just started my pre-op liquid diet and wanted to know if anyone has any brand recommendations for soup broth? Would love some suggestions. Thanks!
  13. Hahaha I hear you! I'm ironically noticing how many food commercials there are lol
  14. It tastes like a caramel sundae! It is sweet but it's a change of pace if you want to switch it up from the chocolate. Enjoy!
  15. If anyone is looking for a good tasting protein shake, I just tried the caramel Premier protein shake and it is DELICIOUS! I thought the chocolate was good but wow, this is so good! Happy Thursday, everyone! We got this! [emoji4]
  16. Just found out I have been approved by insurance! My liquid diet starts tomorrow and my pre admin testing is on Tuesday, 10/31! I can't believe I'm down to the last two weeks!
  17. Thank you and you were right, it was fine and everything came back normal. My diet actually starts Thursday! How's yours coming along so far
  18. I get my endoscopy tomorrow and I'm so nervous! I think the closer my surgery date everything is sinking in: THIS IS HAPPENING! Checked in with my insurance (Cigna) today and it's still pending. It was submitted 10/17 so it's only been 4 business days. Going to follow up on Friday. Can anyone send some kind words for tomorrow? Getting weirdly emotional towards the end of the pre-op journey [emoji85]
  19. Next Thursday 10/27. My endoscopy is on 10/24 and my pre admin testing is 10/31. So everything gets real next week. A little nervous. My dietician gave my a packet of information when my journey began that had all of the liquids I can eat during the pre op and post op liquid diet. I figure the dietician next Thursday will just review that?
  20. Ugh, I know it sucks. Mine starts next week and it sounds awful. Can you have any sugar free jello or sugar free popsicles/water ice? Maybe that can help. It's definitely not easy, everyone says it's one of the difficult parts. But every day down you're THAT much closer to your surgery day! You can do this!!!! Sending you all the good vibes and positivity!
  21. How do you discretely hide your liquid diet? I have a sit-down bridal shower luncheon to attend and I'm not sure how to hide that I'm not eating or drinking. Not really ready to be open and honest with 40 guests.
  22. Oh ok. I'll call them tomorrow and bug them to submit it. Thanks so much!
