I am going for my pre-testing a couple of weeks. My letter I got from the surgeons office says I can eat and drink on the day of testing......is this a typo or what???
Chris
I got my date, 8/18.....kinda sad that is 69 days away, but also very happy. I will just have to learn to wait my turn:rolleyes2:.
I was kinda surprised that in my letter it says I can eat and drink the day of my lab work. Did anyone eat or drink the day of their lab work??
Thanks
Chris
I live in Richmond Va. I am having my surgery done by Richmond Surgical. I have done all the leg work just waiting to hear back on a date. After the nutrition class you have wait 3-4 weeks. I am on my 3rd week!
How about you?
Chris
Wow, congrats on getting a sug date already. I work for Anthem BlueCross and Blue Shield which was great as I had no problem getting approved. However, in the authorization system its showing my surgery date is 7/10. Don't know if this is correct or not but Richmond sug is not telling exactly yet when my date it. :woot:
I got insurance approval and just went to the Nutrition Class. Contacted the surgeons office and they say it's bout a 3 to 4 week process in getting schedule. My Doc is Dr. Brengman from Richmond, Va. Anyone else have to what that long to get a date?
I just had my sugery evaluation with Dr. Brengman yesterday. I went for the psy evaluation 2 weeks ago. They are submitted my paperwork today and I hope I get approved. I work for anthem bcbs and I am hoping they don't give me problems. Can someone tell me roughly from the time they got approve to the time they actually got banded?
Thanks
Chris
I just went to my first visit with the surgeon consult. Everything went well, and is going to submit it to my insurance. I went 2 weeks ago to the psy evaluation. I work for Anthem BCBS and I hope it goes quick!!!
Good Luck and Most important be yourself!
I dont work in the customer service dept, however it really goes by what your rider states. Most of the riders that I have seen say that you must have a BMI of 35 with a medical cond. If you have a 40 or high you will also qualify.

Good luck to you all!
I work for Anthem, and believe it or not they cover WLS surgery. I have to fork out 10% co-insurance. I am calling to setup my consultation with the doctor....wish me luck
