  1. I had them bad before. Now 5 months post op they are almost non existent!!! They were bad at first still but slowly they have been going away. Not sure if it is the weight loss or the change in eating but hopefully yours go away too!!
  2. I'm June 27th surgery. Down 65lbs. I eat about 700-900 a day. But said not to go under 700. I get about 80g of protien. I stalled for about 3 weeks but back to losing. My biggest issue is hair loss.
  3. Anyone's hairs loss stopped at all? Wondering how long it lasts
  4. My wieghtloss is great besides a few stalls. My biggest problem is hair loss. Started last week right at month three. Anyone know when it stops? I get all my protien and vitamins and take extra biotin. I guess it is unavoidable. Just wondering how long it lasts as my hair is so thin already!
  5. How is everyone doing? I was sleeved 6/27 and the past few weeks my wieght loss had really slowed.
  6. Mine just started to fall out. I wish there was a way to stop it. Already taking biotin and all my vitamins. Guess it just has to happen.
  7. I think it's called antigall. I have to take it for three months twice a day after surgery. He has all his patients do it and it drops the chance of gallbladder issues down to 10% from 35% after surgery they say.
  8. Can I ask what your daily protien and calorie goals are!! Way to go!
  9. My dr has me on 3 months of gullbladder meds post op. Did anyone else get those to avoid the removal? No stones or problems before it's just preventative.
  10. Doing good. 10 weeks post op as well. Down 60lbs but in a stall for the last week and a half. Started a size 26 and almost cried when I got into a size 18 jeans today and an XL top!!! Had to buy a few things! How much protien is everyone getting in a day? What did your Dr recommend for calories a day at this point?
  11. Hi June Sleevers! So I was doing pretty good but the last week and a half I have hit a huge stall. Only lost one pound in a week and a half. Before it was almost a lb a day. I haven't changed much. Getting between 700-800 calories a day. Getting 60oz of water and around 70-80g of protien. Anyone else starting to stall??
  12. I'm 7 weeks and still have it. From all my research it seems to be that our bodies are in ketosis. Low sugar low carb side effect.
  13. So I'm almost 7 weeks out and getting bored with food. I'm doing lots of tuna salad and cottage cheese and cheese sticks and fish. Anyone got any good food ideas or recipes they are starting to use?
  14. Yeah if u really want to help people and keep them from what happened to your family why not share the Dr name and hospital. My Dr is Dr Zeni from the Michigan Bariatric Group and he is phenomenal. See. That's easy. That's what this forum is for. The sharing of information. So tell the people so if someone is considering this Dr or facility they can look into it. Now that would be helpful. Don't you want to be helpful Deb?
  15. Hi all. I'm June 27th and doing pretty good. Down 32 from surgery. The head hunger has come back this week. I keep finding myself hungry throughout the day for the first time. So far doing pretty good with it, but it makes me nervous! I'm getting around 600 calories a day. Wondering where everyone else is with calories?
  16. You never said you puréed the food. You originally came on in severe pain and people were suggesting some things to look into that might help. I am the queen of research. I'm a badass researching Mom so don't even try it. None of us that were asking about the food were insulting you we were just offering something to look into. If you don't want anybody commenting why post at all. I'm very sorry your going through complications. I do hope you feel better soon. And why would you purée cheese or even how. The number one suggestion for complications and pain is to step back on food to liquid and call your Surgeon. You said yourself they pushed on your stomach and sent you home even though you had a fever. Doesn't sound right.
  17. You had said on the purée you were eating eggs and tuna and cheese. Those were not allowed on my purée diet. Those were 4 weeks out for me on the soft food diet. I'd be curious how many leaks/abscesses they have with that diet at only two days out. Did they give you a leak test before the diet started?
  18. She is responding to your original post, which is a valid point. I as well was suprised as to all you were allowed to eat only a few days out and thought it might be connected to such early on pain. Eating soft foods so soon can cause pain as well as leaks so it was a valid point to bring up in regards to a lot of your symptoms.
  19. So sorry you are going Thur this! Glad they found the problem though and it is not permanent. Once you get this taken care of you will hopefully be feeling so much better!
  20. Yes all normal! I had all of those. Gas pains are bad the whole first week. Low HR is from the pain meds. I had it too.
  21. Try unjury. It's so fine and dissolves so it tastes like chocolate milk in only 3oz of milk. My dr has me stay away from premier protein first few months because I cannot do the 8oz yet. Unjury is my best find ever.
  22. Slow is okay. 1000 calories does seem high for 4 weeks out. I get about 500 a day so far but do meet my protein at about 70-80. Do you want to post your daily intake so we can suggest some ideas?
  23. So I'm one month out and just started doing 1/8 cup oatmeal (my nut is good with oatmeal) with a spoon full of ground flax seed in it. And it seems to be helping! I've tried milk of magnesia and stool softners but this seems to help best so far.
  24. I was sleeved the same day as you. Down 36, including week of pre op diet. I'm noticing I'm super emotional this last week too, and my husband is only cheating by sneaking cigarettes, which was enough to send me on an emotional melt down so I can only imagine what your going thru. Hang in there and try to stay focused on yourself. All you can do. One day at a time.
