  1. I am out of surgery and I had a little bit of nausea, but that finally subsided. The gas however took a bit longer, Drinking hurt big timed, so I did what any mother would do... I patted and rubbed my chest until I burped.. It was the most wonderful burp I've had today. I'm feeling sooooo much better. How are the rest of the 11/8's?
  2. Today is Surgery Day for me. I have to be there at 2 pm for surgery at 4 pm. I miss my coffee and water. I am 100% packed and ready to go after I get dressed. I'm such a procrastinator. 4. Hi BunnyJean, I go in at 2 pm to have surgery at 4 pm. Weirdly I'm not hungry, just thirsty. Had to give up the water at 10 am. I'm not really nervous either. I made my list and checked it twice.. I'm 100% packed and showered... I just need to get dressed. Good luck with your surgery.. We've got this!!
  5. I go to the hospital in a few hours. My surgery isn't until 4 pm CST. I'm up all night anyway so this is good timing for me. Good luck with yours, may your nausea be calm or something like that.
  6. I leave in a few hrs for the hospital. Good luck to you!! We've got this!!
  7. Missing my morning coffee too..
  8. My surgery isn't until 4 pm. NPO at 10 am. Nothing but water after midnight. Can't believe this day is actually here. Good luck to you SeaSounder, I'll be praying for you too.
  9. I'm glad you're doing okay. How is the nausea?
  10. I'm 11/8.. I've been doing laundry and packing. I still have to shower with my hibiclens tonight and trying to find ways to relax. How are you doing @SeaSounders?
  11. I generally don't have post op nausea even when they took out my gall bladder, but this is my stomach, so it could be a whole different ball game. Thanks for the info. Good luck to you!
  12. It'll be worth it in the end. Good luck! One test at a time, one step closer to the goal.
  13. I still need to lose the complete oxford english dictionary.. an automobile tire ... and a rack of baby back ribs.. lol
  14. 2 days for me too. I think about the nausea a lot. I don't like doing the "technicolour yawn" I really hate it be honest. So I'm hoping things will play nice and let me get through this without the fanfare of nausea. I'm not really starving. I've been finding ways to make liquid taste good, freeze it so I can chew it (that way I don't feel like I'm losing the eating experience) and just relaxing or trying to. I do a lot of colouring and that gets me through some of it.
  15. I have Bariatric timer, Monitor Your Weight, Water Drink Reminder, My Fitness Pal, Medica Reminders, and Baritastic
  16. Tools are excellent and useful.. I have many I use. It's better to have many than none at all and think "I can do this I don't need help" That's what gets us in trouble.
  17. I have an app called Water Drink Reminder that I started using a few months ago to try and remind myself to sip. I'm a gulper too. It's difficult, sometimes I forget and I have to stop myself. Good luck to you on Wednesday. May you too have a speedy and successful recovery.
  18. I know about bad knees. I walk with a walker now because I'm afraid I'm going to fall down. I know my weight is affecting that. I'm hoping that this journey will help with that and a few other issues along the way.
  19. I too have been all over YouTube and a few other websites getting insight and as much information I could find to make my decision on the rest of my life. I choose this because I know in my heart it is something that will help me help myself.
  20. Thanks. I thought it was another thread and that was in the pre op thread. My mind is off on it's own tangent.
  21. Where is this Post OP thread? I have 3 days until my surgery.
  22. I've almost lost the worlds largest ball of tape.. My goal is ole Arnie.. I'd much rather have the 2 bloodhounds as my goal tho.. they're cuter.
  23. Well hydrated.. 2 key words.. My pipes should be totally cleaned out by Wednesday. I maybe living in the bathroom the next 3 days hahahaha!
  24. I've been married to my husband for 30 years. I'm not really worried about him having a problem with me being more independent. I did tell him I worry that if I want to go out and do stuff he wouldn't want to because we both enjoy our computer time. He says he's willing to go do anything I want to as long as we do it together. That says and means a lot to me. I'm glad he's in my life.
  25. I start my liquid diet today too. I set up my crystal light Popsicles last night. Surgery on Wednesday. It's getting real.
