  1. I'm sending all my good vibes to you!
  2. Sorry for posting a lot, but I have just finished my first day of pre-op liquid diet (consisting of Optifast 3x a day, or clear liquids like broth and plenty of water). My diet will consist of 14 total days, my surgery is scheduled for June 27th. My insurance did not agree with this surgery, so I was extremely lucky and very grateful that my parents (I'm 20 years old) have stepped in and paid for it. I made it through today with minimal hunger and slight stomach cramping and a headache until bed time... which is now. I don't feel hungry I don't think.. but in my mind I am. This all liquid diet is the hardest thing I've ever done and it's only been a day! I'm currently on the verge of a mental breakdown as I really want this procedure and I know I can do it, but my mind won't work with my body. Please.. any tips... any good vibes... anything at all you can give me to raise my spirits.. I need it to get through this.
  3. Thank you very much! How have you been handling protein? I'm seeing a lot of posts on how people still couldn't eat for months after
  4. Mine is June 27th. In Florida, I fly in a couple days before for my official pre op (currently doing the 2 week Optifast liquid diet) and return to Massachusetts July 8th! Good luck to you!!
  5. Just looking for someone to talk to to help raise my spirits. This pre op liquid diet has me feeling pretty sad, but I know I can do it. I just have no one that relates to how I'm feeling- which is hungry! Lol
  6. This was very helpful thank you! Unfortunately jello makes me absolutely sick... I think it's a texture problem. But thank you for that cinnamon idea and blender.. I never thought of that!
  7. Mine is 6/27! Good luck!!!
  8. Hi, I'm getting the sleeve procedure done in 2 weeks (June 27th). Has anyone here under 21 gotten this done? How did it affect your drinking and going out with friends? I'm not worried about any of it, just curious for tips and such. Also looking for some support buddies as this pre-op liquid diet of Optifast is awful but I'm trying to stay positive.
  9. I started my pre-op diet of Optifast for 2 weeks. Only clear broths if hunger is severe. I've never had an all liquid diet and my god is this hard. Doesn't help that the optifast doesn't taste too great either. My surgery date is June 27th so I'm hoping time goes by fast
  10. Mine is officially June 27th!
