Hi everyone ! I check In tomorrow first thing for my VSG 6/23. Excited and nervous . Reading all the posts has helped to know what to expect . I just want to get on with gettin on . Seems like these past two weeks have been the longest . Keeping myself very busy has helped with the Pre-op diet. I have found where sitting and watching tv are directly related to eating for me. So I found that shutting off the boob tube and doing something else is helpful. Having said that, my house is spotless at this point. Even got some house painting done in the last month! Amazing the world that lies beyond the tv am I right ? All those I should do this or that .. even if it's just clearing out a junk drawer I had been meaning to do forever helps to distract the mind from eating. It also feels really great when it's done! So as I go along on this journey I decided to not allow much more than an hour of tv per evening/weekends . Idle time is no friend of mine. On a funny note, at my final consult with my surgeon a week ago he said "oh I get to perform your procedure on my birthday ! " I thought, hmmmm I think I'll give him something nice like I dunno say 80% of my stomach! Lol "your welcome!!" good luck to all here and see you on the other side .
