  1. Yup, I went almost 3 weeks when I was in hospital not eating i started off just eating one bite at each meal, here and there then completely nothing for over a week, they kept trying to force me to have all these build up drinks but I just could not do it. I had to force myself even though even now my tummy feels awful eating but I have to as I am on so many meds right now lol But i could never eat forever honestly with the way it makes me feel But do what I can to function. The longer I went without food the less 'hunger' occurred.
  2. 3 months post ( I think I stopped counting) I do not count carbs, so have no idea. My plan calls for a balanced diet, not low carb. But naturally things I can have I do not want, so naturally my carb count is low because my food I can tolerate or want consists of 2 ounce protein 2 ounce spinach. Or 2 ounce protein 1 ounce cheese 1 ounce spinnach. I don't snack. I do not usually eat breakfast usually a 30g protein shake. If I do have breakfast it is 2 ounce egg whites 1 ounce cheese 1 ounce spinach, I cant eat much at the moment but I dont have space for other carbs. My life is easier when I am simple, I just measure to make sure I am not eating over 4 ounces (If I was eating other things I would put it into mfp but spinach and meat I am okay with. , I usually leave 1.5 sometimes 2 anyway.
  3. No problem when you get more detailed info from a surgeon it will make things clearer, it did for me
  4. LOL I can not eat for a week + If I follow that rule, honestly, but I dont try to force it or eat x amount of times I try to just roughly go with the flow, but I can't say I am hungry.
  5. Start : 244lbs, I chose sleeve. I am also 5 foot 2. I chose sleeve as I did not want the absorption issues. I dont know anything about what will suit anyone else though. I also chose sleeve as less time in surgery and less risk i was told while someone else may be told otherwise so depends on the person. i dont know how bypass is down the road as i had a sleeve lol. but 3 months post and glad i had a sleeve. and well yess there are complications with every surgery for me i worried the huge problem i could put myself in if i forgot to take my vitamins , still should always try and remember but more issues if not taken with bypass. The thing is your asking for people to say if there experience would be one way over the other, but unless people have done a sleeve to bypass conversion we dont know what the other one would be like. Does everyone get hanging skin, well no one knows everyones contributing factor, racial backgound, start weight, elastistity so cant answer that. I already am abit flappy 3 months post 50lbs loss. Early on I dont know how people would want to make themselves lose slower, I am enjoying honey moon phase. Down the road I will probs lose slower as I get closer to goal. Again to the other questions about will your skin to abc No idea, depends on the person. You need positive insight or reality? It is not all cotton candy its hard the first few weeks I wish someone told me so i could have been prepared. But 100%%% life is better on the other side for me.. after the first month lol i was miserable for that amount of time on puree etc etc. Sorry for bad spelling typing in the dark. Just being honest, may not be what your looking for. - Goodluck
  6. Actual steak and chicken 2.5 weeks in?Coming out of puree, into what? Your plan is for sure different to anything I have seen, so if you can tell us what your plan is we can help.
  7. How many ounces are you eating per meal?
  8. I think perhaps the restriction depends on what you eat as I feel less with other things, but eggs If boiled I can eat one , take away one small bite, I have to spit out the last bite sometimes as I get that full feeling as I am about to eat the last bite lol. at 7 weeks your still healing to so you may feel it more as time goes on
  9. My plan is I am told to only eat for 20 minutes. But I don't eat that long I eat, finnish and then whatevers left will be another meal but not a snack as I feel I am grazing then.. I like to not take 20 minutes as if I eat then wait I can eat alot more I can imagine.
  10. sorry! i have seen some people really think that lol my bad
  11. No problem at all its a mindfield, when i was earlier out say 8 weeks i got chest pain as i was OVER FULL so i had not been getting the signals lol now i will avoid that at all costs. im 3 months post.
  12. I burp and hear gurgles early sign of fullness for me i dont like the actuall fall feeling but you will know what it is for you as time goes on as long as your not eating more than the portion you are told to eat you will be fine.
  13. You are still healing i had unbearable hunger that early on even painful growling. 3 months post and rarely feel hunger, when i do its taken away after 2 mouthfuls.
  14. You already eating a whole bag of chips at 5 weeks. or you mean 5 months?. Did you do much research? Dense protein and you will feel full. It is highly doubtful that a surgeon and everyone in the room will go into surgery and.. By accident leave your stomach in and no one notice. If you use the tool correctly it will be obvious it is working, if your eating a whole bag of chips the tool is still working but it is YOU that is not using it correctly, which we all have done but you need to take responsibility now not blame the surgeon as thats to easy..
  15. Yes. I saw your other post were you were at 14lbs at 3 weeks, 23lbs at a month out you must have had a huge woosh of loss!
  16. that makes sense sorry! check through your emailfor email comfirmation of your order
  17. ERM you take random vitamins with no name on the box? Were you getting them from? No safety tested vitamin's and medicine comes unnamed unless there fake or mixed with something else. ( here in the uk anyway) that's really concerning.
  18. I was told once on normal food, yet 3 months out , I would not it just is not worth two bites and my tummy exploads lol , no rice pasta or bread for me.
  19. What should our diet look like long term? my plan is not low carb so allowed anything, but right now what you describe was how i ate 3 months out .. rice makes me full so does pasta i assume nt tried it, had a bite of bread made me sick lol, qiniou how ever you spell it not bad/
  20. Good advice, but we all go out our own pace, most of us would have responded the same if we were not ready, sometimes we forget were we used to be Let her be, shes trying one step at a time, sometimes formulated plans can be overwhelming she may get there on her own.
  21. 315lbs for a baloon? They wont even do it on someone that size or a lapband were i live. sleeve or bypass for someone your size. baloon was not even recomended for me and i was 244lbs.
  22. How much should you be having? You should never eat more than the amount your told which is 4 ounce for alot of us so you should not test your sleeve . I cant eat 8 ounces of refried beans now 3 months out. But yes dense protein is harder to eat alot of.
  23. Erm . so.. Has it got iron and calcium all together then?
  24. Iron also needs to be taken seperatly to calcuim.. so.. are these some kind of ebay vitamins lol
  25. 6 weeks near the start , i went back to like pure protein a few days , no stalls since
