That’s awesome! How’s your diet....what are you eating now? Tomorrow I am allowed to eat regular beef, pork, lamb(not ground). Have been eating regular chicken, seafood, and fish since last week. Also can begin experimenting with different varieties of veggies, breads, cereals and grains. Will probably stick with a high protein, low carb diet though

Wow! I guess that just reinforces everybody is different. I drink my 64 oz of water along with coffee and my protein. I know my nutritionist told me before I left the hospital that when you drink broth, tea, coffee, or shake you can subtract it from your H2O amount. Guess different programs use their own menthods. Good Luck to you, I know you will do well.

My MD recomeneded 64 oz. water daily. However that is to include the coffee/tea etc. that you drink that day. I have had no trouble consuming that much since my surgery on 7/18/18, but I drank A LOT of water/fluids daily prior to surgery

    Sleep issues after sleeve

Hi! I had my sleeve done 8 days ago also. I only have had one night that I could not sleep well. I think I took my vitamins too late in the evening. I have always noticed I could not take Vitamins before bed or I slept like crap. Hope that helps you. Good Luck!

Hi! I had something of the same thing when I got home. It seemed to happen more if I took too big a sip or if the fluids were icy cold. The spasms have improved over the past week(surgery was the 18th). Hope that helps, good luck to you!

Hi! I am Post of Day 2 also. I am sorry you are having pain. I am lucky on only get spasms sometimes, and the pain meds are really helping. Keep your chin up, it will get better. The worst thing for me is going to the bathroom and not being able to twist to clean myself. Marriage vows never said “when your spouse can’t wipe themselves”, but my husband has been a saint about it. Wishing for your speedy recovery! Good Luck to you!

I am doing the same thing! Had to get the “roots” done before my surgery on the 18th. How every my MD said I only have to follow a liquid diet for 2 days prior to the surgery. Good Luck to you!
  13. I am on board for surgery on July 18th. Woo Hoo! Even though I have been a nurse since 1986, I have never been an actual patient! I realize I should only be staying overnight, but I like to be prepared. What did you take along that you found helpful or something you wish you took with you? TIA
  14. That is a great suggestion. Thanks!
  15. That is what I was thinking too. Thanks for your help

My surgery is July 18. My pre surgery diet starts two days prior. It is a full liquid diet. Protein shake city! The day before surgery I get to take a boat load full of laxative too. WOOOOOO HOOOOO!

  20. I am sorry you are having such a hard time. First off, I would inform your surgeon of your situation. I am sure he/she would want to know your what you are facing in your life at this time, before your surgery is performed. This is major surgery and we all want to have a smooth and safe recovery. Wishing you the best. Stay strong,
