  1. I have an AP Large which supposedly holds 14 cc. I have had two fills of 2 cc's each and am going for my third one tomorrow. I do sometimes drink a little after eating and know I need to work on this more. My weight loss was great before surgery, pretty good right after surgery and terrible lately. I have even gained 4 pounds since my last fill which was a couple of weeks ago.
  2. From day one I have never felt like I had to vomit and nothing has ever gotten stuck. I hope you are right but I am concerned. The other day I had a meal of about 11 ounces of steak plus salad and veggies and felt satisfied but not overstuffed. This is way more than the 4 ounces of food I should be able to have.
  3. I was wondering whether anyone has stretched out their pouch from too much eating. Lately, I have little restriction and everything and a lot of everything seems to be going down. I am due for a fill tomorrow but am concerned that I have stretched my pouch. If I stretched my pouch would I feel it? Would it hurt? How long of overeating will do it? Is there any way to unstretch it? I am concerned that I went through the entire surgery and have now screwed things up. Help!!!:tt1:
  4. This past weekend I went to "the happiest place on earth", Disney World, and found it to be not that happy. In an effort to spoil myslef, I made an appointment for a regular 50 minute massage. Upon finding out that I had surgery two months ago, they said I had a "contra-indication" and would not give me the massage. Has anyone experienced this? It is not like they massage your stomach!! They said they required a note from my doctor if I have had any surgery in the last year. I didn't even bother trying to get since my doctor was 250 miles away and probably much too busy to deal with this nonsense. Should I have not told them or is it really dangerous??
  5. I have the AP large and just got my second fill of 2 cc's today making it a total of 4 cc's in the band. Does anyone know how much the band that I have holds and what the average amount of fluid people need before hitting that "sweet spot"? Was also wondering whether I should feel the restriction immediately for the next couple of days on full liquids or whether I only feel it when switching to solids?:frown:
  6. I have found that having gum makes me hungrier sooner and stimulates the dreaded appetite.
  7. Since my surgery over a month ago, all of my incisions have healed. I was wondering whether anyone has tried the various products out there to fade scars and fade the stretch marks that I have developed over the years. I have heard of cocoa butter products and bio oil. If anything special has worked let me know and how long did it take to notice a difference? Also, any idea on when it is okay to tan my stomach which may also lessen the impact of the scars and stretch marks?
  8. I had my lap band surgery on February 20, 2008. For the six months leading up to the surgery, while getting all of the insurance requirements out of the way, I had lost 36 pounds basically starving myself. Since the surgery, I am down only 8 pounds and feel pretty depressed. I even gained a few pounds back last week leading up to my first fill of only 2 cc's which I had this past Friday. The doctor said my band was empty from surgery. I was wondering when I should feel some restriction and appetite suppression. I had liquids for the first couple of days after the fill and am now back to eating normally. My next appointment for a fill follow-up is in a couple of weeks. I see everyone else's great weight loss in the first month and am getting discouraged as mine has been limited and doesn't seem to be getting better with a fill. P.S. Can someone tell me how to add the ticketfactory.com ticker to my posts????
