  1. I know what you mean....This process has been so long, I just need to get it over with. I am ready for after, just need to get there!
  2. Tomorrow I start my 4 days of pre-op liquid....My surgery is Friday the 14th.....Nervous and excited...but I really think I am ready to gt this over with! I am asking friends and family for positive vibes, prayers, novinas and good JuJu......Good Luck to all of you!
  3. I have now started telling everyone......I am finding that even people that I thought would be ignorant are really being supportive. i work at a hospital and one co-worker was telling me about hey only get to see the patients that have issues, but the sleeve is the best choice. I have had a couple people tell me they think it is the easy way out, but then I tell them all I have to do before and after and they are like wow....maybe it isn't the easy way. I had my Pre-op appointment with my surgeon and he made me feel way better....I did ask why I only have to do a 4 day pre-op liquid diet and he said because i am on the lower end of the BMI scale. I also had my pre-admission testing and met with the Anesthesiologist and said I need him to make sure I make it off the table.....He said well that s kinda my biggest priority, But I am gonna put in your chart that you are demanding we make sure you get off the table...lol. I feel that this is MY Journey and I know it isn't going to be easy, but I am the only one that can make me fail......My surgery is 15 days away ....I am nervous but ready!

  5. My mantra is it is all mind over matter....i don't mind and they don't matter....i have to do this for my own healthy life and honestly...i had always thought that bariatric surgery was a last resort but in reality when you're stuck and you can't go any further you look at all the options and you tend to see exactly what you should do ...you can't enter into this lightly and you can't let people make you feel bad or weird about doing it. I go for my pre-op appointment on the 21st and I'm hoping my surgeon will make me feel a little better and a little less freaked out about the procedure itself he has a great bedside Manner and he's very easy to talk to so I'm hoping that's going to help and then I see the anesthesiologist on the 27th so hopefully that'll help too Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. My date is July 14th....They submitted to Insurance last Friday and I was approved today! I am excited but scared.....Some people know about it but I a really tired of hearing...you really don't need this! So annoying!
  8. My Dr. Office never looked @ my EKG and I was at the end then asked about it because I knew it was abnormal. So one Dr said it seems ok then I had another Dr call me and say I needed Cardiology Clearence waited 2 weeks Saw the Cardiologist on Monday....had an EchoCardiogram on Wednesday and a Stress Echo on Friday. It all turned out ok but what a pain in the butt!
