  1. I am so sorry you were made to feel rejected. I firmly believe deciding between bypass and lapband is a personal decision...not something to be pushed on you by your doctor/surgeon. I started with almost 200 to lose. It has been 14 months and I am at 79 pounds lost today. Do I sometimes regret having the band instead of a bypass?? Yes, I do. Do I ever regret being banded?? No, I don't (if that makes any sense to you) The reason for those moments of regret is knowing that I would probably be down closer to 150 pounds by now. But..... I know being banded was the correct decision for me. If you feel this is the right decision for you, stick to your guns, and know there are LOTS of people who have had more weight to lose than you and have been a success at it (or are still in the process of working toward that success)
  2. Speaking of clothes..... I have been hitting all the resale shops (Unique, Goodwill. etc) looking for clothes. I am desperatley in need of jeans. I'm not even sure what size I wear!! All I know is I started out in a 32 and they got wayyyy too big I have a pair from Catherines that are a 9. They can't seem to tell you there what that equates to in "real" sizes <grrrrr> these pants are getting too big for me too. Anway (finally getting to the point of this post) I went to Goodwill yesterday and found a pair of jeans size 28-30. I was just going to buy them, and decided at the last minute to try them on. They were too big!!!!!!! I have never, in proabably the last 20 years, had to put something back because it was too big!! I was quite thrilled at this. Wow...this may be how "normal" people shop, huh? Just wanted to share.
  3. The 8th sounds great for me (the 9th is my 9 yr wedding anniversary) I would love to check out clothes beforehand.
  4. I have BC/BS of IL. They totally suck  I ended up paying about 9K out of pocket, after they denied me. I would pay it again in a heartbeat.
  5. Sorry for the late post. I was down .8 this week.
  6. I'll take anything you dont want
  7. Marie, Sorry you're having fill issues. Crazy how these things go, huh?
  8. I'm down .2 this week. Hope everyone is down this week
  9. I'm sorry your mom is feeling so poorly. My thoughts are with you guys. We have been going through the same thing here... the extreme anemia and blood transfusions (3 so far) so I know what you guys are going through. Sending good thoughts your way. julie
  10. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy  Good for you, glad for that loss.
  11. Thanks. It is so great to actaully make a goal. Every challenge I have been woefully under my challenge amount every other time. I am just happy for that consistent losing.
  12. WOW..... I'm impressed, That's great. Please put me down for -2 this week.
  13. I am down 2 pounds this week. Yayyyyy... I finally hit my 75 pounds loss. That was one nasty 21 pounds... it took me 10 months to lose it  I have been doing really well these last few weeks, I know it can't last forever, but I'll take the losses where I can get em.
  14. wow... it has been kind of quiet here!!!
  15. Yayyyyyy... it'll be great to see you. :tongue2: I would love to join you guys for a Black Hawk trip (I loves to gamble!!!!) :tt2: I will have to make sure my hubby has the day off work so he can do the Kayleigh pickup from school.
  16. I've never heard of Flexees. Are they like Spanx?? Cuz Spanx alone are doing nothing for me. I did consider getting some sort of belt plus wearing the Spanx for a little "compression".
  17. Mexico is where I'm going - with Dr. Sauceda. I wish you were going with me, we could do a 2 for 1! He's so very nice! Gee, I wish..... I don't see surgery any time in my near future, between the cost, having a little one at home and my MIL's illness. I will be so excited to see how you do, and I guess I will just have to live vicariously through you for now.
  18. You'll have to let me know if it works. I have been wondering if one would work for me.... at least get the apron up a bit further . I'm just to cheap to spend the money on something that may do me no good.
  19. Dee-- I didn't know you had decided for sure on where to go. Are you going to Mexico still?? I am so happy and excited for you (though, I must admit... a bit envious  ) I can't wait to see the new you!!!!!
  20. I was down 2.6 this week. I am finally under 270!!! Yayyyy
  21. I'm so sorry to hear that. Hopefully they made some sort of mistake and worried you for nothing. My thoughts are with you.
