  1. My vitamin kit from the NUT did not include iron. I think I'll need it.
  2. I am concerned about clear liquids right after surgery especially. How do I get carbs in?
  3. I'm 65 and having bypass on Aug 4th. I have 4 pages of questions to ask at my pre-op next week. I couldn't get insurance coverage until I started Medicare so there must be more baby boomers out there[emoji4]
  4. I'm 65 and having bypass Aug 4th
  5. I have the same concerns and would appreciate any advice.
  6. Thanks for the encouragement. My bypass is August 4th. I'm almost there!
  7. Today, I got a surgery date of August 4th. I knew it was coming, I had read and researched for weeks, but when I actually heard the words, I panicked! I spent the rest of the day writing down questions and now I think I should give it a break for a little while. I'll find out more at my pre-op appointment. Anyone else react this way??
  8. I am in Blue Ridge Ga. Anyone nearby?
  9. I just had my consultation with the Bariatric surgeon, dietitian, insurance rep and coordinator. Beginning to gather all the information they need, get the clearances, etc. Not an easy task. I keep expecting the "thing" that will disqualify me. Any way to make this process less stressful? I'm in foreign territory- help!
  10. I meet with the Bariatric surgeon in two days to be sure I'm a candidate for Bariatric Sleeve surgery. I'm 65 years old with everything wrong with me that's on the list of co- morbitities. Diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea , pulmonary hypertension, elevated cholesterol, shortness of breath- you name it! Even though I'm committed to having this surgery, if I am a candidate, I'm very nervous and anxious. This will be the biggest challenge of my life?
