  5. Thank you! Yes I heard walking is the key to healing better. Bringing some slippers with me so I can shuffle around a few times . Can't wait to be on that loser's bench!
  6. OMG!!! I am so excited and nervous for tomorrow. My pre-op diet wasn't the best/perfect but I did lose about 20-something pounds. Today is strictly liquids which I will be ok. Any suggestions for today and tomorrow?!
  7. OMG mines too. I literally cannot not get it off my mind. I almost gave myself an anxiety attack the other day lol I am so happy I found this forum. I have learned so much from everyone here just by reading their stories and struggles and successes. I am excited to share in everyone's journey
  8. Thank you! Yes will try to keep my positive attitude. I will definitely be tapping into my support systems, I surely can't do this alone
  9. So these past few days I have been so anxious. I started my liquid diet, 5 shakes a day, on Sunday. I feel good, I have lost about 8lbs since I started. But I can't stop thinking about surgery and how my life will change and it is making me so anxious! I am just so excited to start this new chapter in my life. My brother was a diabetic and had VSG 2 years ago and he looks amazing and is now diabetes free. So I know this works and I can't wait to see my results and really be able to look back and see the transformation. I am so humbled that I have a great support system in place and they are in my corner rooting for me.
  10. I only told my mom, 2 brothers and 3 close friends. Everyone else will know that I incorporated diet and exercise, only if they ask. I agree, it is none of their business and sometimes people are too nosey Good luck with everything!
  11. Congratulations!!! So happy for you!!
  12. Hey everyone! So excited to be here with all of you amazingly strong and inspirational VSGers I just started my pre-op liquid diet on Sunday and have my final apt with surgeon on May 8th. No one really knows other than my close family and I plan to keep it that way. But I also know that I need a support system. I have been reading everyone's success stories and advice and I am so excited to go through this journey with you all!
